@MagnatesMedia @noahmorris Hey John awesome to see you here!
What about channels where quality is good but the views fluctuate?
I make more personal videos every now and again which get less views and this deters brands from anything but a performance-based sponsorship.

@noahmorris Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate it! Good to be here.
And yeah fully agreed. It's harder with some of the lower effort channels.
But I definitely see a lot of creators who could be getting sponsors on their videos if they reached out to brands.

I’ve never posted much on Twitter/X, but I’m gonna start sharing stuff here regularly...
I never realized there was such an active ‘faceless youtube’ community on here, which is pretty cool.
Given that I openly share what my channel is, hopefully I can provide some unique insights & behind the scenes info about running a faceless channel.
For context I started the channel from 0 a few years back and it’s now at around 1.5 million subscribers (from long-form videos).
I’ve spent the last few days reading a lot of posts to get an idea of what others are doing & the current advice in this community...
And in my opinion one of the BIGGEST mistakes most people are making is only focusing on ad revenue.
Ad revenue may get you a rough average of $5 per 1000 views.
But sponsors can get you more like $25 per 1000 views (as a very rough average). 💸
And the crucial part: sponsor money is guaranteed upfront.
To give you an example, my most recent video had 2 sponsors on it, so it made over $25,000 BEFORE the video was even posted. Regardless of view count.
Having your video be very profitable before it’s even uploaded is obviously nice because you’re not as attached to needing a certain number of views to make a profit. It also helps you with budgeting.
To be clear: I am NOT on camera in my videos. And yet every single video I’ve posted in the past couple of years has had a sponsor on it.
There seems to be this idea that faceless channels can’t get sponsors, but it’s just not true.
You should absolutely reach out to sponsors.
A good starting point is to see if any other channels in your niche have sponsors and reach out to those brands, since you already know they’re sponsoring similar content.
The key to actually getting sponsors to renew though, is building a branded channel.
This doesn’t necessarily mean high production quality, but it typically means having some form of connection with your audience. So that when you recommend a product/service, they actually check it out.
I’ll talk more about building a branded channel in a future post. Feel free to follow if you’re interested in growing your YouTube channel (and making more money). 😁
Looking forward to chatting with you all.
(P.S. Note to self: 8,214 followers at the start of this experiment... 🧪)
