Listen when they tell you. “Everyone in the country will have a digital ID” Even if you don’t want one! “This isn’t a heavy handed approach but we will make sure everyone has one” Oh 🤡

Julian has been religiously updating this chart each month, which draws data from official EU and UK sources, to continue to show that UK food inflation has been *less* in the UK since Brexit than it has in the EU. So why do people still think Brexit caused food inflation?
Julian Jessop@julianHjessop

Chart of the Day 🤓 This chart shows what has actually happened to food prices in the UK and in the EU, each indexed to their respective levels in 2015. The big picture is that food prices have surged across Europe, but by a little less at least in the UK than in the EU.

The land under these panels will never be farmed again. Potato growing associations nationwide will not buy potatoes grown on ex-solar sites. Why? The panels leach heavy metals, as well as drop glass shards and microplastics onto the soil below them. In a mass commercial arrangement, vegetation below the panels is soaked in herbicides. The fertile farmland is gone forever.

This isn't just a pile of debris - it’s the future of green energy waste hidden in plain sight. Millions of solar panels are hitting their end-of-life cycle, and the world is completely unprepared for the coming toxic avalanche. By 2050, the International Renewable Energy Agency projects up to 78 million metric tons of solar e-waste. Where is it all going to go? The industry boasts that solar panels are '95% recyclable'. Technically, yes - because they are made of glass, aluminum and copper. But economics always trumps physics. In Australia and the US, it costs roughly $20 to $28 to properly disassemble and recycle a single panel, but only about $4 to dump it in landfill. Because there is no financial incentive, up to 90% of decommissioned panels go straight into the ground. Each solar panel is an industrial 'sandwich' bound tightly by heavy polymers. To extract the microscopic amounts of valuable silver and high-purity silicon requires energy-intensive chemical and thermal baking. When they are crushed or left to fracture in landfills, heavy metals like lead and cadmium can leach into the surrounding soil and groundwater, turning 'clean energy' into a multi-generational hazardous waste problem. The crisis is accelerating faster than models predicted. Because solar cells degrade and lose efficiency, and because newer, cheaper panels hit the market, consumers and solar farms are ripping out functional systems at least a decade early to upgrade. This compressed lifecycle destroys the narrative of a long-term, stable asset and creates an endless loop of unrecyclable industrial trash.

🚨WHAT THE HELL?!!! A North Carolina TEACHER AND FOOTBALL COACH, Kendrick Gonzalez lost his entire career... ..because his childhood "best friend" got arrested for a crime... and told the cops HE was Kendrick Gonzalez. The cops pulled up the DMV photo, saw it wasn't him, and they used his name ANYWAY. Now the REAL Kendrick Gonzalez, a North Carolina teacher and football coach, has a "criminal record" for a crime that happened almost TWO HOURS from where he lives... that was committed by his FRIEND He found out he had a "criminal record" when HR called him during football practice, in front of his kids and staff and they FIRED HIM. He lost his entire career. The City of Charlotte just filed a motion to dismiss his lawsuit because: "a DMV photo not matching the suspect's face isn't "conclusive" proof it's the wrong man..." ...sorry what???? So... anyone can ruin your life by giving the cops YOUR name instead of their real name? THIS IS INSANE!!!!

In the UK, you can now be jailed as a terrorist, despite not committing a terror offence, not being charged with a terror offence, and not being convicted of a terror offence. Even worse, the jury can't be told that you'll be sentenced as a terrorist for your non-terror offence.

Released after 24 exhausting hours in custody following an illegal arrest, and straight back to work because my family still depends on me. I will be taking legal action against the Metropolitan Police and Mayor of London over what I believe was unfair and continuous discriminatory treatment. I don’t want GoFundMe or handouts. I want to earn it. If you want to support me, come dine at the non-halal Indian restaurant Rangrez in Hammersmith. Support through community, not charity.

Report an actual crime, and the police don't give a shit. But talk about Zionism, a political ideology, in less than glowing terms, and they'll meet you off the train. What tier of justice does this rank under?
Fiona Rose Diamond@CoviLeaks

I am now under investigation for a 'Racially Aggravated Public Order' offence following an allegation of 'Holocaust Denial.' This is a calculated conflation designed to criminalise my anti-Zionism by falsely framing it as Holocaust denial and 'antisemitic.' I have been hesitant to share anything on social media recently, as I am currently navigating the immense weight of an oncology referral. For weeks, I have existed in a state of torturous limbo and psychological paralysis - teetering on the edge while awaiting medical confirmation. Last night, I was met by police upon disembarking the train from an Oncologist appointment in London. A passenger (who had apparently overheard a conversation I was having with another passenger) reportedly contacted the British Transport Police by text, stating they felt 'uncomfortable' because they claim I had allegedly made reference to - and specifically 'denied' - the Holocaust. I will state categorically: I have, for some time, absolutely expressed my deeply held anti-Zionist beliefs in criticism of a nationalist and racist ideology. I continue to draw a clear, vital distinction between Judaism and Zionism. This is not 'Holocaust denial.' As I stated to the police, my own grandfather was Jewish. We are living in the prophecy. The Orwellian enforcers are no longer fiction. Free speech is dead. Two-tier 'justice' is the new standard. And eventually, the hammer falls on everyone. I am living the warning, and have been for 6 years: once you're in their sights, the cycle is eternal. That said; I am not, in any capacity, a racist or 'antisemite.' I have spent over half a decade relentlessly fighting for truth, justice, peace, and freedom for all people - regardless of faith or race. While I am drowning in the weight of a constant, killing obligation - a life spent tired, broke, and broken by sacrifices that the system uses to bury me... I still continue the fight.

David Attenborough used falsehoods about dead walruses to push a narrative about climate change and then he and Prince William launched the whole lie at the World Economic Forum. Even when he was corrected by people who actually knew their stuff, he still refused to correct the falsehood. So, yes, you may be part of the euphoric 'Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David Attenborough - king of nature, blah blah blah' but I think he's a manufactured media character and an establishment apparatchik. I far and away preferred David Bellamy but he refused to play the game so they ostracised him. Taken from: The Dark Side of David Attenborough. Greater Manchester Police have contacted me and asked me to attend a voluntary interview under suspicion of harassment. They have refused to provide any details of the allegation. Disclosure, they say, will only happen if I attend. That is not how voluntary interviews work. When attendance is voluntary, basic disclosure in advance is a reasonable expectation. It is the minimum required for a suspect to take proper legal advice. There latest targeting of me follows years of targeted action against me connected to my work. I spent three years on police bail. Every case brought against me has collapsed. The last time GMP forced entry to my home in a dawn raid, they were ultimately compelled to release me after accepting I was the victim. More recently I pursued a judicial review after GMP unlawfully protected an individual who ran a sustained campaign of harassment against me. I was raised to believe the police were the good guys. They are not. Not in my experience. I have faced this before. I will face it again. And those that are desperate to silence me need to understand this, I will not stop lawfully campaigning to safeguard our communities and protect children from abuse. Raja Miah MBE

Nursing in the 1970s – A World Away from Today. Back then, we changed patients’ beds daily sometimes more if needs required. Fresh, crisp sheets weren’t a luxury; they actually made people feel better. There was something healing about climbing into a clean bed with properly tucked envelope corners. We knew all our patients by name and they knew ours. Doctors in white coats and nurses in uniforms. We knew who everyone was. The ward looked welcoming. Vases of flowers from relatives and the local flower stand to the entrance of the hospital. adorned the bedsides. Families weren’t “visitors” to be tolerated, on the contrary they were welcomed, included, and often helped with little jobs. It felt like a community. Any problems, family would be 1st to spot and report. Matron ruled the roost. You didn’t want a summons to her office. One look from her and you straightened your apron and your attitude. Standards were non-negotiable. We turned bedridden or unconscious patients every two hours, religiously, to prevent pressure sores. No exceptions. Fluid balance charts hung at the end of every bed, constantly we encouraged patients to drink, recorded every sip, and took mouth care seriously. Basic care was never “basic”, it was fundamental. Doctors sometimes prescribed a pint of Guinness for the anaemic or a sherry for the frail elderly. It worked wonders for appetite and morale. After acute illness, patients went to proper convalescent homes for a week or two by the sea. Fresh air, good food, gentle exercise. It prevented bed-blocking and got people home stronger. Palliative care wasn’t a separate specialty it was woven into our training. We knew how to sit with the dying, hold a hand, ease discomfort. TLC wasn’t a slogan. It was our mantra. We didn’t have fancy equipment or endless paperwork, but we had time for patients. We saw the person, not just the diagnosis. So… what on earth went wrong? How did we move from this to where basic care is sometimes rushed or non existent, relatives feel like a nuisance, and “turning” someone properly is squeezed between targets and tick-boxes? When did we lose the simple things that actually made people feel safe and cared for? This is just the tip of an iceberg, I could go on. I’d love to hear from other nurses who trained or worked in that era. What do you remember most fondly? #Nursing #1970s #OldSchoolNursing #TLC #PatientCare
