@DeRushaJ I enjoy Lunds, also frequent co-ops, Trader Joe’s, and Costco, but I love Aldi and am super excited to have one within walking distance. Budget, of course, is a factor, but also the types of meals you eat. I rarely dine out and focus on easy nutrition- Aldi is great for that!

I'm glad downtown Saint Paul is getting an Aldi. That said, I've always been a sucker for Cub, Lunds & Byerly's and Kowalski's partially because they're union workplaces. I like the idea that you can make a career out of those jobs.

UPDATE:
Turo and their third party dispatch company, Nation Safe Drivers, have dispatched a tow truck and recovered the Tesla. I’m actually impressed at the timeliness of the recovery.
The tow truck driver called me when he arrived. I pulled up sentry and confirmed he was at the car. I started the Tesla from the Tesla app and he loaded it up onto his truck. He offered to tow the truck back to VA but that would need to be approved by the dispatch company therefore it won’t happen. I told him that I can send him app access tomorrow so he can move the Tesla into a spot on his lot.
Unfortunately, the Tesla will sit on that lot until a car hauler is available.This is strictly a cost-saving move by NSD (makes sense imo) because a tow from SC to VA would cost around $3k while a car hauler is around $300.
I’m expecting to have the Tesla back mid-week so we can do the trip closeout and get it back on the road. We will lose about 4 days of revenue.

UPDATE: I just received a phone call from the Turo trust & safety investigator assigned to my case. He told me that he reviewed the messages between me and the guest then asked a few questions about the trip. I explained that the guest has not been to the car in a few days and that it is sitting in a hotel parking lot. We discussed how the guest has an out of state address and that they likely never planned to return the vehicle. He assured me that the guest and anyone associated with them would be banned from the platform. He confirmed that I have “disabled” the Tesla (via pin to drive) and said he’s going to order the dispatch for a tow back to our home location in Virginia. As I was typing this, I received a phone call and text message from Turo’s third party dispatch service, Nation Safe Drivers. They confirmed the pickup and drop-off address and told me the service provider would contact me when they are on their way to the vehicle. Unfortunately, as I mentioned previously, it is likely that transport back to Virginia will take a few days because they typically tow the vehicle to a nearby storage lot then wait for a car hauler to move it long distance. I’m hopeful that the Tesla will be returned without damage or smoking but we will have to wait to see what happens. Based on sentry mode footage, the Tesla is safely parked in a busy hotel lot. Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.
Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
Thank you to everyone who demanded freedom for Liam. We won’t stop until all children and families are home.
