The Dolphins are signing 20 misfit toys, hoping to have 3-5 of them stick around for 2027. And that’s the right play. Think 2019 when the same strategy provided QB Fitzpatrick, WR Hollins, DT Sieler and in the draft RB Gaskin, LB Van Ginkel, CB Needham (UDFA).

I like the Malik Willis signing. Boom or bust. Even if he sucks.. Dolphins pay hefty $$$ to a backup in 2027 (at a time where theyre paying no one) and draft a rookie. Just please, keep looking for QB’s. Always. We spent 17 consecutive years thinking Henne, Tannehill, Tua would be “the guy” and didnt want to disturb them with even a mid-round pick.

Now official: The Dolphins are releasing QB Tua Tagovailoa. Miami still owes Tagovailoa $54 million fully guaranteed this season (minus offsets from a minimum deal elsewhere) and will carry $99.2 million in dead cap.
