I never tire of finding Firecrests, found two just down the lane from home this afternoon. Maybe the same ones that were in my garden two days ago 🤔

Not perfect technically but how often do you see these three species sitting on a fence together? It was just seconds before this happened, then this. Unbelievably @Photos2Print counted 11 Hoopoes around the fence before they all flew off into a tree. Pre migration maybe?

So, after spending hours watching and taking pics of the #Wryneck at the Turf, I’ve decided that this is my fav photo of it. Sharon Towning on Facebook wins it for me! @SharonTowning

Spent a hour at Hatchpond early afternoon while car was being MOT and was surprised to not see any Great crested grebes, a few years back you would have seen 2-3 pairs. I’m not sure this is the norm or I was unlucky. @DorsetBirdClub @DorsetBirds @harbourbirds

The Wryneck gave brilliant views in the area around the Turf locks on the River Exe this morning to the delight of many people. Glad it stayed for another day, a magical bird to see 😀

@BrianChard4 Hi Brian yes it was nearby to the black grouse. On the same road to the north east there's a viewpoint area with a grassy clearing. They were both there.

Great day yesterday in North Wales. Started off with seven black grouse + 2 ring ouzels but the stars of the show were undoubtedly the pair of hen harriers. HH has been top of my 'pending lifer list' for years! We ended the day with distant views of the Bonaparte's Gull at Conwy.
