150 years from now, none of us reading this post today will be alive. 70 percent to 100 percent of everything we are fighting over right now will be totally forgotten. Underline the word, TOTALLY. If we go back memory lane to 150 years before us, that will be 1876, none of those that carried the world on their heads then are alive today. Almost all of us reading this will find it difficult to picture anybody's face of that era. Pause for a while and imagine how some of them betrayed their relatives and sold them as slaves for a piece of mirror. Some k*lled family members just for a piece of land or tubers of yam or for a pinch of salt. Where is the yam, mirror, or salt that they were using to brag? It may sound funny to us now, but that is how s*lly we humans are sometimes, especially when it comes to money, power or trying to be relevant. I remember those days in my secondary school, how some people fought and did so many unimaginable things just to have their names shortlisted among those to be made school Prefects. Ordinary school Prefects o! But today nobody in that school right now remembers that I even schooled there despite my popularity then. Now, imagine what happens after 150 years! Even when you claim the internet age will preserve your memory, take Michael Jackson as an example. Michael Jackson died in 2009, just 13 years ago. Imagine the influence Michael Jackson had all over the world when he was alive. How many young people of today remember him with awe, that is if they even know him? In 150 years to come, his name, when mentioned, will not ring any bell to a lot of people. Let us take life easy, nobody will get out of this world alive. . . The land you are fighting and ready to kill for, somebody left that land, the person is dead, rotten, and forgotten. That will also be your fate. In 150 years to come, none of the vehicles or phones we are using today to brag will be relevant. Biko, take life easy! Let love lead. Let’s be genuinely happy for each other. No malice, no backbiting. No jealousy. No comparison. Life is not a competition. At the end of the day, we will all transit to the other side. It is just a question of who gets there first, but surely we will all go there someday. Courtesy Tweet…

“I wanted to be the man in my marriage, I made bad financial decisions because I entered with a lot of pain and and I had come from a broken family. Dear women, let husbands be men, God humbled me.” -Manuela Mulondo. Full video in link below 👇🏾 youtu.be/OhlNJbrUhbo

Dear young men, at some point someone will try to convince you that to be a supportive husband/father, you must be there to hold your woman's hand as she delivers. Be available. Fetch the Water. Wash the dishes. Pay the Bills. Whatever you do, DON'T be in that room!!!

Yesterday after securing Rena’s results, I immediately took her and her mother to meet Tonny Tumukunde. We had a very emotional conversation. Tonny recommended a Christian school for her (Rena and her mother are Christians), Code High School. When he first mentioned the school, I thought it was just an ordinary school. Oh my… Earlier today, Rena, her mother and I traveled to Bajjo, Seeta in Mukono District to seek admission. When we arrived, we were received by the Deputy Head Teacher. After listening to the girl’s story and seeing her impressive PLE performance (Second Grade Upper – 15 aggregates), she was admitted immediately. Rena is going to a school that many of us who come from humble families only dreamt of. After the admission, it was another emotional moment as her mother broke down in tears of joy. Frame 2 shows the girls’ quarters, one for O-Level and another for A-Level. Frame 3 is the main hall and dining hall. The video shows the main classroom block. The school is not only strong in infrastructure but also academics. They performed very well in the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education examinations. The school administration has allowed Rena to start next term and catch up with her S.1 class. It all started with Mariam reaching out to me… and here we are. Knowing that this girl is going to school feels like a lifetime achievement. Thank you, Ugandans on X, for the love and generosity. Csl Tumukunde Tonny, you are blessed beyond limits 🙏 I’m now a father of three, my biological daughter, Saad Junior, and Rena 🙏

Dear @joshjeje2 ,thank you for this question. In the Strategic plan of KCCA we are tackling traffic jam. We plan to introduce Electric buses, engagements with local bus service providers are ongoing. The buses will be deployed along the major corridors. Working with Ministry of Works and Transport (@MoWT_Uganda ), @RailwaysUganda we are double tracking the passenger rail services on available railway corridors but ultimately there one major solution: GET PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR PRIVATE CARS TO: 1. Walk 2. Cycle 3. Use mass transit i.e MGR,BRT,LRT MGR- Meter Guage Railway From Mukono to Bujuuko BRT - Bus Rapid Transit Mukono to Kampala Gayaza to Kampala Kampala to Kajjansi LRT- Light Railway Transit New Routes to Kira, to Matugga, to Nakisunga with a circular LRT along Northern Bypass and the Southern Bypass When fully implemented ,traffic jam will drastically reduce.
Jeje Odea 🇺🇬@joshjeje2

Dear KCCA, aside from washing roads and planting of grass, do you have any plan for traffic jam in the city?

An Open Letter to the Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, Minister of Health, Uganda: Hon. Minister, I write with concern regarding the proposal to extend medical training to six years by introducing a one-year volunteer internship that is unpaid, yet required for graduation. This proposal risks institutionalizing exploitation of young doctors. Medical students already spend five demanding years in training, often supported by families who sacrifice greatly. Expecting them to work a full year in hospitals without pay while delivering essential medical services is unfair and devalues their work. We all know that intern doctors are the backbone of many hospitals in Uganda. They run emergency rooms at night, review patients, admit cases, and keep wards functioning. If their work is critical enough to keep hospitals running, how can it suddenly be considered “volunteer work”? There is also a serious question of status and responsibility. If these interns have not yet graduated, how are they expected to take over clinical work in hospitals? Who carries the legal responsibility for their decisions? The system risks placing patients in the hands of individuals who are still technically students. Furthermore, unpaid work creates pressure to survive. When someone works full time with no income, they will inevitably look for other ways to live. This opens the door to exploitation, informal charges, burnout, and compromised focus on patient care. Ultimately, patients will suffer the consequences. Instead of unpaid internship, the focus should be on improving internship conditions, expanding training slots, and ensuring fair remuneration for young doctors who are already serving the nation. Uganda’s health system needs motivated doctors, not policies that demoralize them before their careers even begin. Yours, ALTON.

Losing your job doesn’t just reduce your income. It quietly downgrades your masculinity in the eyes of the room. One month unemployed and suddenly the man of the house feels like the guy hired to slash the compound grass.
