@David_J_Bond @Marie32123495 @NHSuk They are not offered the jab, Grokmeister may have the right figures but unless your immune system is degraded, frontline NHS are not routinely offered it in the same numberd.

I'm 74. On a daily basis, my wife (75) & I are receiving texts from our GP's surgery urging us to book a Covid-19 booster injection.
Isn't this the very same injection that @NHSuk doctors & nurses are refusing to have in huge numbers?

@Concern70732755 In 70 years on the throne the Queen only ever made one Easter speech. the monarchy generally leaves that to the church.

@RichardTomo5 Thanks to warped tory policies we have a tiny army, virtually non-existent navy, RAF gutted. It would take 10-15 years to add more resources across the whole armed forces. So closer ties not Brexit lies for me.

Keir Starmer is quietly preparing Britain for EU military alignment. Not cooperation - alignment. That means decisions increasingly shaped in Brussels, not the UK.
We did not vote to become a strategic subsidiary of the European Union. We voted to be a sovereign nation.
Britain should lead on the global stage, not drift into an EU army.

🇬🇧🇺🇸 On advice of His Majesty’s Government, and at the invitation of The President of the United States, The King and Queen will undertake a State Visit to the United States of America. Their Majesties’ programme will celebrate the historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between the UK and the US, marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
🇧🇲 The King will continue to Bermuda to undertake His Majesty’s first Royal Visit as Monarch to a British Overseas Territory.

@DuncanBullivant @afneil @TiceRichard 14 years of Tory rule, even Boris Johnson said we do not need an army, battles will be fought via cyber and argued with his own side. Crazy then and purely crazier now. How long ago was Blair?
English

@afneil @TiceRichard No matter how much spit and blather comes out of Badenock at PMQs it is clear that what Blair started, Cameron finessed and Labour are normalising. Elements of our armed forces are Tier 1. World Class. But we have no serious deterrent to adventurer competitor nations. 5% now.

The current state of the Royal Navy:
2 aircraft carriers — neither operational.
6 Type 45 destroyers (our most powerful warships) — one operational (in Cyprus).
7 Type 23 frigates (less powerful, much older) — three operational
5 Astute class nuke-powered subs — one operational (in Arabian Sea?).
Surely those responsible for this appalling state of unreadiness (a national embarrassment if ever there was one)— political, civilian and military — should be fired/charged.
Their incompetence has effectively left us without a navy.
Quite an achievement for an ancient island nation.

@MarioBojic You have to almost fact-check every statement on here. The world has become a weird place, like covid has infected peoples brain so they churn our garbage.

@NickWarren1963 @NailArtisan @TheBritLad I have no idea where Britton is and what the people are called, Brittoes.
English

@NailArtisan @TheBritLad Are you actually British, since you can't spell Britain?

@UKStandards_ @adamdkent Local councils are run by local councillors. Go to a council meeting and see what happens.
English

@adamdkent Who in government? Adam? Labour who controls local councils spending? The government. Who can cut spending? The government. I wouldn’t expect you to know what I put any tbh 🤣

🚨 If Reform can’t run Worcestershire… how can they run Britain?
Nigel Farage now says Reform “regret” taking control of Worcestershire County Council.
No one forced them to stand.
They campaigned on cutting waste and reducing taxes.
Instead residents got one of the biggest council tax rises in the country – nearly 9%.
So what happened?
⸻
Let’s remember the facts.
Under the previous Conservative administration Worcestershire delivered around £60m of savings in two years while continuing to invest in services.
Reform promised they could do better.
Instead we’ve seen:
• Internal division
• Rushed decision making
• A Deputy Leader resigning publicly citing lack of action
• And now Nigel Farage saying they wish they hadn’t taken control
⸻
Farage has even described Worcestershire as a “basket case”.
Let’s be clear.
Worcestershire is not a basket case.
It’s a county of hardworking residents, businesses and communities who deserve serious leadership — not excuses from politicians who suddenly realise governing is harder than shouting slogans.
⸻
Here’s another inconvenient truth.
The current leader of the council was a Conservative councillor until March 2025 before switching parties shortly before the election.
So when Reform claim they inherited a mess…
they are effectively blaming themselves.
⸻
Running a council is not the same as running a protest movement.
It involves difficult decisions about:
• social care
• children’s services
• infrastructure
• long-term finances
Serious politicians deal with those challenges.
Populists complain when reality arrives.
⸻
Nigel Farage has spent years criticising governments from the sidelines.
But the moment Reform has to actually run something — even one county council — the story changes from:
“We’ll fix it.”
to
“We wish we hadn’t bothered.”
⸻
So here’s the question voters should ask.
If Reform cannot run one county council without breaking their promises…
why should anyone trust them to run the country?

@HeySunilGupta @makemytripcare @etihad Indian Embassy - Ulitsa Vorontsovo Pole, 6-8, Moscow, Russia, 109028
Eesti

I’m completely stranded at Moscow airport… alone, helpless, and running out of hope.
No one from @makemytripcare or @etihad is answering my desperate messages.
Russia doesn’t accept Visa or Mastercard anymore.
I have ZERO cash left. Not even for food or water.
The Etihad ground staff is avoiding me more than my ex ever did — literally turning their faces away and telling me “just call customer care”… which has been busy for hours. I’m standing here like a beggar in my own nightmare.
I don’t know how I’m going to get home. I’m scared. I feel abandoned by the very companies I trusted with my journey. My family is waiting and I can’t even tell them I’m safe.
Please… if anyone from Etihad, MakeMyTrip, or even the Indian embassy sees this — HELP ME.
And if you’re reading this, just one RT could save me. I’m begging.

@Beaver_FallsPD @jimstewartson @grok Mars is a one way ticket for any astronaut. Too much solar radiation, skeletal impact, mental issues, gravitational impact on us, too far if anything goes wrong. The list is endless, lovely to think we could do it, but any astronaut going to Mars will be different species to us.
