If the post/tweet below gets 250+ reposts/retweets by 11:59 pm Eastern time today (May 9, 2026), I'll share another previously unreported domain name transaction. 😇

Green[.]com domain name changed hands for $7.5 million freespeech.com/2026/05/09/gre… First reported by George Kirikos @GeorgeKirikos on May 9, 2026 on my FreeSpeech[.]com blog. If you see it elsewhere, it's probably a parasitic copycat blogger looking for attention.

The epitome of the event industry is the celebration of the $400,000 salary for an event lead at Anthropic.
Someone who is in charge of the most important brand channel for an AI company
In SFO
Starting at 320K
200K less than what Anthropic pays its engineers.
Promoted by tech bros who have nothing to do with events and plan cocktail parties, and looking to score for the algo.
Celebrated as an achievement and validation of the industry's existence.
It's not. It's confirmation that events are still nice to have.
The job should pay $500,000 and above

I made a crazy purchase... 😅
I bought postfast (.) com
I really didn't need it, as I have quite good DR on postfa (.) st, but I wanted to protect the brand for the future.
It was too expensive for my taste, and did include some barganing and such.
Quite happy though, now that I own it, nevertheless I'll just point it to my main domain, nothing more, but just some calm, that I can always change.
Even if time comes to sell PostFast, it would be a great asset for the buyers. So a lot of positives, but in the future, not now.

@Castello_Bros @NameMatchmaker @Jason @DInvesting @amiller325gd @andrewrosener @domainnames These guys are the best of the best for the top of the market in domain names.

@NameMatchmaker @Jason @DInvesting If you’re talking eight-figure deals, the brokers who have consistently sold names in that range are @amiller325gd, @andrewrosener and @domainnames.

Who is the best domain broker in the world, who has managed seven and eight-figure sales?
the name of the person, not the firm please
@jason@Jason
we are selling two very premium domains: mahalo.com and inside.com -- cash and/or stock. DM me... we already have seven-figure offers, so not looking for zero-cash offers (unless it's for stock in a massive, legendary late-stage company). jason at calacanis dot com, subject line with the domain you want to buy.

Another category defining, massive domain name is changing hands. I can confirm that we at ATM Holdings oversaw the sale of IRA .com, in a win-win transaction for the buyer and seller. Congrats to all and cannot wait to see its power unleashed. A huge shout out to Bret Miller for identifying the buyer. As noted in Random Sunday Thoughts, a few more important deals forthcoming too. There has never been a more important time to own your exact match and category defining domain. I wrote about that here, linkedin.com/feed/update/ur… #domainnames #domains

Sold WaterValue․com for $20,000 on the last day of April.
EMD count: 9 (dotDB) dotdb.com/search?keyword…
Held for 12 years.
No hype. No outbound. Just data, patience, and conviction.
Domains with real signals quietly compound in value over time. And when the right buyer shows up, everything clicks.
12 years → $20K. Worth the wait.

For more than ten years, I tried to buy a domain name.
The domain name changed hands multiple times following corporate acquisitions. A couple of my offers were rejected, but my emails were usually not returned.
I engaged @GoDaddy DBS broker Jordan Cavanaugh to negotiate on my behalf. I was able to reach a deal, and the transaction closed yesterday.
I am very happy to now own Independence.com.
Thanks to Jordan for his insight and advice throughout.
