If you’re good at domain investing then sharing your sales and acquisitions is mostly for clout. For the most part it’s a bad business decision with very little upside.

🤔 Let’s do a little experiment… If Pizza.co went to a public auction today with NO reserve price… What do you think the final sale price would be? 🍕🚀 💰 $10,000? 💰 $100,000? 💰 $1,000,000+? I’m genuinely curious to hear what the domain community thinks Drop your estimate in the comments 👇 #PizzaCo #domains #domaininvesting #domainer #domainbroker #premiumdomains #auction #branding #startups #entrepreneurship #pizza #domain #DomainNames #DomainForSale #DomainsForSale #web3 #web #food #FoodFind

@Azmaldomainer From brokers and circles. If you’re consistently buying, these deals will come to you naturally as they search for liquidity. If you’re hunting the only way is whois or lowballing aftermarket. Final way is auctions of course.

How do you purchase premium one word domains? I requested on Namepros and got folks sending me a bunch of junk names.

In an era where anyone can build anything, the hardest part isn’t creation. It’s location. That’s why domains matter.

Sold. Thank you for the smooth transaction @afternic. Again, share a sale leads to another sale with @TonyNames.

@RichardPatey @synozeer Brain/Mind/Human type names have been going for a premium these days. Very much the trend. Pretty sure it’s still an investor though 🙂

clearbrain .com just ended at $2,950 in the GoDaddy auction. The auto bidder won it. Was planning to go up to $2k after @synozeer flipped MindMesh .com ($10.5k → $150k). Potentially an actual end user bidding, so I passed. Prefer liquidity from stocks right now.

A little blast from the past.. When I first got started in domains, I launched DNGeek to share my journey. I wrote about acquisitions, sales, and lessons learned, and eventually started publishing weekly reports on newly funded startups and the domain names they used. Those reports became surprisingly popular. Every week, I would analyze companies that had just raised their first round of funding and track the domains behind them. Over time, investors started using the data to spot trends and make early bets on extensions like .CO, .IO, and later even .AI. Looking back, it was one of the more interesting datasets I ever worked with. The challenge was that it was incredibly time-consuming. Gathering the data, analyzing it, and publishing a report easily took several hours every week. Eventually, I sold DNGeek and shifted my focus to building Efty, so the reports stopped. Fast forward 10 years... With my Crunchbase subscription and AI, I can now generate the same type of analysis in a fraction of the time. So I'm curious: Would you be interested if I started publishing a weekly or monthly report again that covers newly funded startups and the domain names they're using?

First of all, thank God. Sold Pcc.ai last month. Thanks to @atomHQ I like to share story behind that. In 2023, I hand-registered PCC.ai and submitted it to @atomHQ Premium. It was initially approved at $3,499, but I felt the AI market was just getting started, so I removed it. Later, I resubmitted it and Atom approved it in the $22k-$45k range. After further market research and a pricing review, I listed it at $77k. A buyer came in at $50k. Following a negotiation strategy I learned from @TonyNames , I kept my floor at $50k and asked the broker to push higher. The buyer ultimately agreed to $70,000. Huge thanks to the #domain community for all the knowledge shared along the way, and special thanks to @MichaelCyger , whose comment on my first sale gave me the confidence to keep going. Sometimes the biggest difference between a $3,499 sale and a $70,000 sale is having the patience and conviction to hold the right asset.
