I am just going to be an evangelist for the conference call/camera-off Zoom for the rest of my working life, outside of getting-to-know-you, early in working relationship calls. Here's why:

I'm the only Michigan Democrat who won a Trump district in 2024. I know how hard it is to win, and serving in the Minority, I know the consequences of losing. Both losing elections and losing sight of what matters and what unites us. What I saw on the MDP Convention floor is deeply troubling – for what it says about who we are, how we win, and whether we will be able to meet this urgent moment. Some thoughts & our path forward 🧵

That's why every quality pollster who has polled this race this year (me who works for Haley Stevens, Mallory McMorrow’s pollster GSG, unaligned Data for Progress and Upswing Research) shows a close race with most having Haley Stevens in the lead.

Emerson put out an outlier poll last time in Michigan, were made aware of their errors, and then doubled down on them with an even more skewed poll. Their poll is an outlier because it’s badly done.

Yeah, this poll methodology is irresponsibly flawed, Emerson should be ashamed to put it out. It massively underrepresents the older, non-college Democratic primary voters that support Haley Stevens the most in every poll.

Working Families Party PAC released an ad in IL02 attacking Donna Miller, saying she “folded” and “voted to hand over our personal, private information to ICE,” while contrasting Robert Peters as a progressive fighter. Is internal campaign polling showing Donna Miller up?

With this sort of massive swing from 2024 in VA and NJ, Sherrod Brown and Amy Acton in Ohio are licking their chops.
