@SPVLABS @fusionvaria I found out we could get a standing state while moving backwards with a negative speed spindash and then she remembered that this meant we could use actions that normally you need to be standing still to use while moving, which led to this.
Basically autism + teamwork lol

@SwankyBoxYT By using hover frames. They slow VSpeed loss. It's what makes a jump lose speed slower until a certain point. Hunting characters can immediately cancel a damage state into a normal falling state, resetting hover frames, so you can use them with the VSpeed boost from the damage.

@Brian_pso Watching it now. How did you manage to get extra height after taking damage? It almost looks like you're able to launch another jump right from taking damage from the missiles (looks like a moon jump almost, but I know it isn't.) Does the low gravity in the level work for you?
