@cholibaby @Denesn881 Thank you for your work! I actually like both styles but leaning slightly more on the "detoonified" look simply because i want to have a more consistent/unified art style, but if the environments/objects were cartoon too I would instantly switch to that and never look back.

@Denesn881 @BrickLion26 Not at all! I am the modder here, and I think a lot of the art style for Paralives is very lovely (the color palette, textures, etc). I do think though that there were missteps in terms of shaders, and this is a stopgap until I can sit down and mod in a better toon shader.

I see a lot of comments about the art style of Paras in Paralives not blending with the 3D environments but there is already a mod that removes the cartoon shader on them. Here is a comparison.

@creature_bugz This one! But it has an issue when highlighting paras as they turn white. But you can pair this along the "No hovereffects" mod so you'll not have the white outline on both objects and Paras.

@friedgreenonion in paralives here are glitches because it's early access and dev team says to report them to improve them sims 4 is 11 yo and has tons of bugs and dev team makes announcement about fixing some of them as if it was some great gift and we should be grateful for their mercy

Paralives Studio just made a fortune in only eight hours. I really hope they will expand the team now, especially in the animation department.

Wanted to try out adding specular/normal maps to pavements in worlds missing them. Chose Innisgreen's forest cuz it's got very little material variety. Adds such a cute sheen hehe

It was faster for a single person to crack the Marketplace than it took the team under EA management to fix the problems they introduced themselves despite them having full documentation of everything they'd done. 😭

I worked almost every single day of 2025 on a mod, only to barely pay my bills and for EA to release a shitty CC store that breaks everything and promotes this, which is 2 dollars more expensive than a mod I worked on for a YEAR. 🫠

unpopular opinion but i wish we had the realism ts2 and ts3 sims had while cooking rather than the ugly weird tricks they do in ts4. they bother me so much, it's insane

The same people who were just playing and excusing the lazy royalty expansion two weeks ago pissed about this marketplace… like baby who do you think set this system up, our wallet is our voice and every time you buy and promote a pack it enables more corporate greed from EA 💀
