I always regret engaging with this gentleman, but…this is all fiction. Mail voting isn’t new (like, the Arizona GOP approved no-excuse absentee in…1991); candidates remain free to concede or not concede whenever they please; it has always taken weeks to count every vote.

Is it at all strange that a brand new and opaque voting system was implemented in the name of COVID; people are trained to think it's normal to take not days but weeks to count votes; and candidates are required to concede when the media says so, not when the votes are counted?

Some thoughts on political violence and this election. Some baseline truths: First, allegations, without evidence, of "election fraud" aren't politics. They are a form of incitement. Analysis that continues to wonder why Biden didn't fix this for GOP continue to confound me. 1/

We discussed Trump's nurturing of violence as a political strategy. "He won't change because it is working for him. But if the GOP thinks it can somehow control this, the history of violent movements suggests otherwise. Dems can't fix this for them." @cnn @David_Gergen @Acosta

Welcomed @SecBlinken in Kyiv to thank the U.S. for remaining our trusted strategic partner. Ukraine’s recent battlefield successes prove that the aid provided by the U.S. and allies does make a change. With lasting support, Ukraine will win and protect Europe from Russian menace.

It is impossible to keep up with the volume of disinformation churned out by the MAGA-occupied Republican Party. But sometimes it’s worth pausing to examine the anatomy of a particularly egregious fabrication. My latest column: washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/…

The reason Donald Trump is the first former president to be treated like a criminal is that he is the first former president who is a criminal. @jonathanchait writes nym.ag/3BTT0hV
