@Four_3_Three Sometimes things just run their course. Unfortunately, the results, performances, and the way EH is coming across now suggest that this is the case. We are fortunate to have enough points or on recent form we would be looking at a repeat of 2016.

If this manager were available, the Howe Out folks would be dying to bring him in… - Spent 4 1/2 years at last club - Qualified for the CL twice - 1st time in 20 years - First ever knockout stages of CL for club - Two cup finals - First in 25 years - Ended 56-year trophy drought - 4th highest in league points since taking over - Club went numerous windows without improving the team - 49% win percentage - Finished 11th, 4th (highest in 20 years), 7th, and 5th - Took over club in relegation place and helped them become the first club in history to avoid relegation after not winning any of their first 14 games (previous manager’s run) - Finished 14th and was sacked But this is Eddie Howe’s time at Newcastle, so they desperately want him sacked. #NUFC

@LukeEdwardsTele @deeprossed 25 years as a journalist is transactional, Luke. You’re paid to cover Newcastle, whereas fans invest their own money and time not to mention the ruined weekends and miserable Mondays that come with it. This makes us more qualified than you and I’ve watched the movie for 45 years!

If people want to know what I think about the game today and the ramifications, they should read my match report. I’m not going to turn on Eddie Howe, I still firmly believe he’s the best man to lead the rebuild in the summer. It’s glaringly obvious a big one is needed. Too many players have been spared criticism because that’s too uncomfortable for some #nufc

@LukeEdwardsTele Thinking a regime has run its course isn’t the same as turning on the manager, Luke. I’ll always love EH for what he has achieved but this feels like more than just a rough patch. Aside from a few decent performances, the season has had the look of relegation form.

This is how I want #NUFC to set up tomorrow. Something a bit different, nice and fresh. 👇🏽 Hard to pick Thiaw’s CB partner, but I think you have to drop Botman after last weekend… Bench: Pope, Botman, Livramento, Tonali, Guimaraes, Willock, Murphy, Gordon & Wissa Thoughts? 💭

Howe time is probably coming to the end but I hope he flings a few of these players under the bus before he does… some of them have been pathetic all season yet think they’re some elite footballer #nufc

@NUFCMurph I think the point is who would be prepared to come who would be an upgrade on EH? I will always love him for what he has done but I do think, maybe it’s time for a change of direction next season. Either way it will be a risk in my opinion.

I'm imagining since there isn't a single manager in World Football better than Eddie Howe, he'll be away at the end of the season due to having offers from every single club in the world to take the managers position.

@DanMcMahonF1 His agent just wants a new contract, Sandro has never said he wants to leave. Fans are listening to fake news and buying it. Sandro is happy and I can’t see him do an Isak. The club do not need to sell and will not sell.

Time for the club to sit Tonali down. Ask him if he wants to go. If yes? Fine. Start the process early. We aren't getting burned twice, or humiliated either. If not, say his agent must shut up now. Stop the touting, disrespect and end it. We will survive with or without him #NUFC

🇪🇸 The initial excitement surrounding Newcastle United prospect Antoñito Cordero appears to be fading as the young forward faces heavy criticism in the Spanish press. After joining us on a free transfer last summer—beating out giants like Real Madrid and Barcelona—Cordero was sent on loan to Westerlo before moving to Cádiz in January. However, his return to Spain has been anything but triumphant. Local outlets, specifically Málaga Hoy, have been quick to point out that the 19-year-old’s performances have been entirely unremarkable. Since joining Cádiz, he has failed to record a single goal or assist in LaLiga2. This lack of production was particularly evident during a recent 3-0 loss to his former club, Málaga. While his former team handled his return with a level of affection, the media coverage has been much more clinical and dismissive. The narrative regarding Cordero has shifted from high-potential wonderkid to a cautionary tale of "hype" not meeting reality. Journalists have noted that there has been no discernible leap in quality since his move to England, and the patience of the Cádiz faithful is reportedly wearing thin. For many in Spain, there is a sense of quiet satisfaction in his struggles, especially after Málaga felt slighted by his decision to leave for a bigger paycheck in the Premier League. At this stage, the young loanee finds himself at a crossroads. The objective data simply does not support the reputation he arrived with, leaving him with a narrowing window of time to prove he can still justify the significant interest we showed in him last year. Another loan next season seems inevitable as he will be nowhere near the levels Newcastle need him to be at to trouble the first team! #NUFC #NUFCNews #Newcastle #EPL

@CoachMeron I am also 50/50 but I do believe it is important to consider the calibre of manager we would attract if EH was sacked at the end of the season. I have seen a few suggestions which are fantasy at this moment. Something needs to change before next season.

I’m not Howe in or out (pretty much 50/50 tbh). But the Howe-ins asking “who would you get?” doesn’t make sense. That’s the sporting director’s job. Wilson should be analysing managers across Europe based on his specific requirements. He has the time to do this, fans don’t.
Murph@NUFCMurph

"But who would you get?" Its not our job to replace him. Howe has just been schooled by Regis Le Bris. Twice. A manager no one would have even heard of til Sunderland. And Michael Carrick from Boro has just taken Manchester United from awful mediocrity to 3rd. There is options.

@RobertLogan86 @NUFC_HQ I think KK, Bobby and EH are without doubt the best managers of my time. EH is most successful but I did enjoy the KK era - football has changed since then unfortunately.

@LewisBowden_ Ideally we try and get Alonso but I think we need a Mourinho to give this lot a kick up the arse. Too many players are coasting knowing that they won’t be dropped for the next match if they underperform.

I wouldn't sack Eddie, I love the bloke, he's earned time to sort it. But the defence and keeper needs an overhaul. What was the point in Wissa? £55m to sit on the bench and you're dropping Germany's number 9 to play in centre mid. Summer recruitment bar Thiaw was shocking.
