India passed a broadcast policy to add #SameLanguageSubtitles or #captions on 50% of all TV programs by 2025. Huge step; now needs implementation at quality. Good, becoming a global thing. @PrakashJavdekar @narendramodi

Let's face it - more time at home means more TV. So let's encourage our broadcasters and tech companies to (finally) Turn On The Subtitles to (scientists agree) improve the reading of a generation of kids. turnonthesubtitles.org @cbbc @YouTube @SkyUK @netflix @primevideouk
