Technology has repeatedly demonstrated its harm to our children, yet it continues to be aggressively promoted, largely as a result of substantial government investments; this raises an urgent question for parents: at what point will we collectively declare that enough is enough?
I find it interesting that Mike Morath and TEA say that schools that have failing test scores for a number of years in a row mean the districts are neglecting the schools, and justify the takeover. However, we have years of STAAR test data showing that the scores have been low every year since its inception. Doesn't that mean that Mike Morath and the TEA leaders need to hold themselves accountable? Their neglect is on a larger scale. Why do they still have jobs? We need a TEA takeover and improvement plan. @MikeMorath @teainfo

Getting lit on @Commit2Dallas 🥂 Y’all - it’s so hard for me to sit here and listen to the propaganda they feed us while they serve food and drinks funded by Bill Gates and TEA – both are major funders of Commit. They host these events “for teachers” while they are literally coming FOR them. They seek to undermine and co-opt the teaching profession and chase off our seasoned teachers with institutional memory. Under TEI merit pay, Mike Miles caused 10,100 teachers to flee @dallasschools in 2015. They want to replace the professional teachers with change agents from @teachforamerica and those who drink the merit pay kool-aid. They also use technology and high-stakes testing as a weapon. Yes, it is indeed a happy hour with an agenda. @DMagazine @psimek What’s funny is The Man, @williamstodd78, rarely shows up to these events. He sends his army of Commit-ed reformsters on his payroll. He writes and lobbies for the bills that steer the funding to his pet reforms, like TIA/TEI, charter schools, technology, data harvesting, Amplify (Bluebonnet HB 1605),testing, etc.
