It has been two days since the shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Not only was this an apparent assassination attempt on the President and his staff, but a secret service agent took a bullet. Thousands of journalists, high-ranking officials, and attendees were endangered. Obama condemned it. Newsom condemned it. Leaders across the political spectrum condemned it. The two Democrat front runners for NE-02 haven't said a word. Political violence is wrong, period. No matter the target, no matter the party. In Nebraska, we value decency and respect. By staying silent my opponents are showing just how out of touch and radical they are. In Congress, Nebraskans can count on me to condemn political violence whenever it occurs. I call on my Democrat opponents to do the same.
