The key word is “tried”, and you didn’t try very hard. You cared more about the image of fighting Trump than you did about your constituents.

A coordinated global network of socialist, communist and Islamist groups is behind “Nakba 78” protests this weekend and today, using the metaphor of the “Nakba,” the Arabic word for “catastrophe,” to dismantle Israel’s creation 78 years ago on May 14, 1948. 🌹🍉 425 organizations with a combined funding footprint of annual revenues of about $1 BILLION are organizing an estimated 736 “Nakba 78” events across 39 countries. What we see every day on X boils down to two realities:
The Trump administration is operating with a 30,000-foot view and a long-game strategy. They’re already several moves ahead of the daily noise, scandals, and outrage cycles that consume us. While we’re busy arguing over the latest viral post, they’re executing.
What actually divides and distracts us is the deliberate social media warfare coming from both sides, but especially from Democrats, RINOs, and the woke establishment. They see the writing on the wall. So they fan the flames on fires they helped start (think Malibu-style arson turned into a political bonfire).
Their posts aren’t about truth or policy. They’re posture, pure and simple. They’re doubling down aggressively, banking on future power to rewrite the history and vindicate them. It’s psychological warfare: inflict maximum pain, sow exhaustion, and hope you eventually tap out. Every inflammatory thread is also market research, they’re scanning reactions to figure out how to protect their own seats and narratives.
Don’t take the bait. Ignore the gaslighting, the performative outrage, and the spite-driven noise.
Instead, track the administration’s tangible wins, no matter how small they seem in the moment. Those quiet victories are the real signal. Let the others wallow in their doom loops. Stay focused.

I could spend an hour naming every weak-kneed establishment Republican still parroting the old Mike Pence ‘endless Ukraine blank check’ script, Don Bacon’s a perfect example.
Meanwhile the actual leverage moves (tariffs + Iran strikes) are already shifting the board while the old guard clutches pearls.

Trump knew he was going to attack Iran before he re-took office. He raised tariffs on Chinese goods right away so as to create his own leverage for when he sought Chinese help to denuclearize Iran and stabilize the Strait of Hormuz. It’s not 4-D chess; it’s a level of strategic brilliance for which there is not yet a word.
Haters hate while Donald Trump changes the world. I’m sorry but it’s demonstrably true.

People complain about independents running in Nebraska while our entire Unicameral is supposedly “non-partisan.” Everyone knows party politics still control everything behind the scenes anyway. Nebraska has the worst of both systems, partisan politics without partisan transparency.
The Unicameral experiment is over. Nebraska’s Legislature struggles to get major issues resolved while lawmakers hide behind the “non-partisan” label despite obvious party alliances. Time to move to a transparent partisan bicameral system and stop pretending.

I fight different. I actually want to win a National Championship.
We’ve got an athletic department with zero debt and deep pockets. That’s a hell of a head start. Now imagine what we could do if our politicians actually fought for us instead of foreign workers and endless handouts.
Lower property taxes.
Lower — or zero — state income tax.
Real two-gender sports so girls can compete fairly and safely.
Policies that build our own kids up instead of diluting the opportunities that produce elite talent.
Look at the South: no state income tax states are eating our lunch in recruiting and NIL. The O-Line pipeline we used to own? It’s still down there, big, strong, homegrown kids developed year-round.
We can get ours back, but not while we’re taxing families into oblivion and watching our politicians prioritize everyone except the working families who raise these athletes.
This isn’t complicated. Stop burying your head in the sand. Quit being soft. Speak up, vote like it matters, and demand leaders who make our state competitive again.
We have the money. We have the fanbase. We have the tradition.
What we’re missing is the spine.
Let’s build that pipeline back and go win it all.

Man, the disconnect with these older politicians is wild. They jump on social media… and they’re terrible at it.
Guys like Bob Evnen seem scared to actually talk to real people and get a pulse on the community. That’s where Scott Peterson crushed it.
They’re so worried about their image. But if you don’t stand for anything, you’ll fall for everything. And that’s exactly what happened.
Politics is turning into pure theatre for cheap social media points, usually with half the context missing. They chase what’s trending instead of listening to their actual base. Don Bacon does it all the time. Follows the clicks, not the people. Then ridicules his base.
A lot of them are falling into the same trap.

Trump is the cockroach effect. Without him our eyes would still be shut. Love him or hate him, everyone for the most part has learned something from this.
