The NCAA distributed a chart to member schools outlining the implementation scenarios of the 5-year, age-based eligibility concept. It’s clear the NCAA is expecting to adopt the concept for 2026-27. Important: Final waivers under current rules must be submitted by July 31.

@InsightsCollege @RossDellenger I don't think the clock starts during PG year until the 27 HS grad. Looks like the NCAA is giving the 26 HS grads "the benefit" of a 1-year grace period. And those with a HS grad prior to 26 get to pick the best model for them. Most likely because their plans have been set.

@Kim_Conmy @RossDellenger The way I read this doc is 26 HS grads can still have a grace/gap year and still get full 5. Most likely because they had already made their plans to stop the recruiting process to attend prep or simply take a gap. Looks like the 27 grads are out of luck.
