1) why is that “proper”? 2) we have to ask why this pattern is so hard. There’s an easy answer. Fundamental movement skills (run, skip, crawl) use a contralateral pattern, but this technique uses an ipsilatersl pattern, & likely is a child’s first exposure to ipsilatersl skill.

One of the hardest skills to teach kids early is the ability to use proper footwork when shooting a lay up. Today I taught my daughter how to jump off one leg. You’d be surprised how difficult this is for kids. Coordination is key. #trainingtipsfordads
