We’ve officially launched the Royal British Legion’s 2025 Poppy Appeal. Set against the backdrop of a stunning immersive poppy display, veterans and their families - whose lives have been rebuilt with RBL’s support - joined us to share their stories.

Remembrance is an important moment of the year when we show our support for our Armed Forces. Wearing a poppy and supporting the @PoppyLegion is one way to thank the Armed Forces for the sacrifices they continue to make to protect our freedom.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea has been home to the Chelsea Pensioners for over 330 years 🇬🇧 A place of care, community and military tradition, set in the heart of London. In September last year, we opened part of our historic grounds to the public for the first time. Since then, it’s been a pleasure to welcome so many of you through the gates. The Soane Stable Yard is open seven days a week, with the Heidi Café, Chelsea Pensioner exhibition, gift shop, and guided tours led by the Chelsea Pensioners themselves. 81 years ago, thousands of British, Commonwealth and Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy to help free Europe from tyranny. Defence Minister @AlistairCarns pays tribute to the armed forces who served then, and to those who have served since. We will remember them.

81 years ago today thousands of brave men and woman began the liberation of Europe from Nazi tyranny. This act of courage, selflessness and sacrifice should remind us all that freedoms are not free. To the greatest generation…we salute you.

Today marks 85 years since the end of the Dunkirk evacuation. Over 338,000 Allied troops were rescued by sea in the largest military evacuation in history. We remember the service and sacrifice of the Second World War generation who secured the freedoms we enjoy today.

Last week, @Vernon_Coaker represented the UK in Kyiv, leading the largest ever 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇦 trade mission. The UK continues working with European allies, providing industry support for Ukraine’s long-term resilience, while strengthening domestic industries and national security.
