On Eid, one of the most important days in the Muslim calendar, access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem has been restricted by Israeli authorities, with many Palestinians prevented from entering and forced to pray outside. Reports also indicate restrictions affecting Christian worshippers, including access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City. Emerging reports this morning say Israeli forces confronted worshippers outside the Old City, with tear gas reportedly used against those gathered for prayer. These developments raise concerns that heightened security measures are further restricting freedom of worship and movement for Palestinians. I raised the situation at Al-Aqsa in Parliament yesterday, highlighting ongoing concerns about restrictions even following the ceasefire. The Israeli government should uphold international law, ensure freedom of worship, and engage in meaningful diplomacy to support a just and lasting peace.

Two Muslim interfaith charities openly support Iran-backed terror groups including Hezbollah and Hamas. The two charities, the Abrar Islamic Foundation and the Dar Alhekma Trust, occupy buildings in expensive areas of central London & between them have bank accounts worth millions of pounds. Behind this mask of respectability are two hubs of support for the brutal Iranian regime and its terror networks. In 2024 Sayed Ahmed Alwadaei, who has worked as a freelance for both charities was photographed taking part in an attack on Iranian dissidents in London which left one victim with serious spinal injuries. Another, Saeed Al-Shehabi, who is a trustee of both organisations, was on the US "no fly" list drawn up by the FBI's Terrorist Screening Centre. Meanwhile, Moosa Abd Ali Mohammed, who was granted asylum in Britain in 2006 and is listed on the Charity Commission website as a Dar Alhekma trustee, is a vocal supporter of the terror groups sponsored by Iran- Hezbolah, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Both charities are run by exiled members of the Bahraini opposition, which seeks to topple the Gulf state's monarchy. Another trustee of both Abrar and Dar Alhekma, is Saeed Al-Shehabi, the exiled leader of the Bahrain Freedom Movement. His links with Iran's Islamist regime date back many years. In 2012 the mortgage of the building that contained Shehabi's office was being paid by the Iranian government. At least as recently as 2019, he was on the US "no fly" list drawn up by the FBI's Terrorist Screening Centre. The two charities have been recognised by the Charity Commission for more than 40 years. Their accounts show that Dar Alhekma has assets of around £4 million, and Abrar more than four times as much. However, among those involved with Shehabi's charities, none is more outspoken in his support for Iran than Sayed Ahmed Alwadael. In November 2022, he was filmed outside ICE when anti-regime protesters clashed with its supporters who emerged from the mosque. He was shouting "we are the soldiers of Khamenei" and "death to the hypocrites". On 27 April 2024, Alwadaei took part in an anti-Israel protest n central London. He was videoed there by a man who asked why he was carrying an Iranian flag: He replied: "Basically, because without Iran, I believe there is no resistance, and Palestinians would not survive.. they support Palestine with everything" . In late 2024, The Times  reported that both organizations were under investigation by the Charities Commission however they are both still listed and active on the Gov website 🤬

🚨 Labour’s Grooming Gang Inquiry Has Been Deliberately Delayed Until After The Next Election 🚨 I took the time to read through the latest details of this so called national inquiry properly, not headlines, not spin, the actual substance, and here is the reality. On 8 January 2025, the Government rejected calls for a new national grooming gang inquiry, arguing the focus should instead be on implementing previous recommendations. Then on 14 June 2025, Keir Starmer stood there and announced a National Grooming Gang Inquiry. Six months later, on 9 December 2025, Anne Longfield was appointed to lead it. And now, months on from that announcement, this is where we actually are. The Terms of Reference are still not finalised. Still being drafted. Still being negotiated. Anne Longfield herself has admitted the draft is not strong enough and not detailed enough, and she did not even write it. If the person leading the inquiry is telling you it is weak, then it is weak. Even now the wording around one of the most critical issues, ethnicity, race and religion, only says the inquiry “should” look at it. Not will. Not must. That is not a technicality, that is a loophole. It means it can still be watered down. This is being sold as a national inquiry, yet only a single digit number of areas will actually receive full local investigations. The rest of the country, dozens of affected towns and thousands of victims, will be pushed into a general call for evidence. That is not full exposure, that is containment. There is currently no advisory panel in place. The previous one has been disbanded. The legal team is still being hired. This is not a system ready to deliver justice, it is a system still being built behind closed doors. They have also made it clear the Terms of Reference will define what the inquiry does, and only after that will survivors be brought in to shape how it is done. That is completely backwards. Victims should be shaping the scope, not just the process. We are told there will be no no go zones, but there is no explanation of how that is enforced, who decides it, or what happens when it is challenged. Without that, it is just words. And here is the part they do not want you focusing on. The inquiry will start in April 2026, run for three years, and the final report will not be published until after the next General Election. That is not a coincidence. That is a political decision. Labour has structured this so the consequences land after the public have already voted. That is not about justice, that is about control. This inquiry has potential, but right now it is too slow, too limited, too vague, and far too politically convenient to deliver the accountability victims deserve. I am not interested in what they promise. I am interested in what they deliver. Right now, this is not good enough!
