Helmuth Hübener was a young German, executed by the Nazi party for being an active part of the resistance movement against them. He is the boy in the middle in the photo below. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also know as the Mormon Church. His branch president was Arthur Zander - a supporter of the Nazi party (something which he later denied, citing external pressure). Helmuth Hübener was executed at the age of 17. Arthur Zander migrated to Utah soon after. He became the godafther of soccer in Utah, and established much of what would become the state's modern soccer infrastructure. This, to us, is what football heritage is about - pinpointing these stories and running the historic threads through them to the modern day. As Helmuth was sentenced, he said this to the Nazi judges who sentenced him to death: "Now I must die, even though I have committed no crime. So now it's my turn, but your turn will come."

@JimmieChesh @BYUfootball Sorry. Same thing happened to us 2 seasons ago when they reshuffled everyone in the south end zone. We had season tickets for 20 years and my dad has difficulty walking and the best they would do was make us spend $500 more for worse seats with more walking in the handicap area.

Looks like we are about to lose our @BYUfootball season tickets that we’ve had for 16 years all because of a couple days separating us from people paying an extra $1,000. This whole system is broken. Zero loyalty to the die hard fans. Truly terrible thing. Sucks. #BYUFootball

An exterior rendering for the Vienna Austria Temple was released today. The two-story, 15,300-square-foot temple will be constructed on the 0.8-acre site of a former meetinghouse located at Silbergasse 2 in Vienna. It will be the first temple built in Austria. A groundbreaking date has not yet been announced. Nearly 4,700 members of the Church reside in the country. For those interested it's looking like being the weekend of the 21st March. Some clubs have already spoken about the retro kits being on sale the week before, Málaga the 19th March

It looks like this month @LaLiga will hold a retro weekend with all 42 clubs in the top two divisions involved according to @TribunaVCF "All 42 teams will play in retro kits. The proposal goes beyond just the kits. The atmosphere will be a key part: 80s-style balls, television graphics, scoreboards, and even the broadcast style will adopt a classic feel, with the aim of recreating the experience of other decades and offering something different both in the stadiums and on television." How good will this be and what retro kits would you like to see teams play in?
