@BrokenMen1

We’re trying to raise finishing funds for our feature documentary “Broken Men”. The film examines the complex & taboo subject of domestic violence against men.

We've launched our crowdfunding campaign to raise finishing funds for our documentary, Broken Men. We’ve done most of the filming; however, we just don’t have the funding to get to that finish line, so we need your help! #DomesticViolence #Mentoo gofundme.com/broken-men-a-d…

@dabadee57 @csmunday @caley_mckernan @SVPhillimore @Miniweller The key point is here is "both". By definition, it takes two parents to co-parent. While both parents can block co-patenting, it's usually one when it comes to the terms you've described. It is almost impossible to co-parent with a domestic abuser.

Today's my birthday. My son's Mum brought him over tonight with a huge chocolate cake and card. It meant the world to me. A year ago we were embroiled in a bitter court battle over said son who is so happy with his little life now. Honestly...effective co-parenting is the future

Why doesn’t @womensaid use its position to advocate for and defend all victims of abuse? They criticise the abusive behaviour of men on reality TV while ignoring or condoning the abusive behaviour of women. facebook.com/BrokenMenDoc/p…

@AngieUn27401972 The significant difference between you and I is that I don’t seek to discount or ignore children or victims based on the gender of the perpetrator (or any other group identity) where as you clearly do.

@BrokenMen1 You are broken. I’m sorry that’s the case, but Mom’s and children have rights too. We have the right to be safe.

Took a little break! Needed the headspace! It's difficult being a male #domesticabuse survivor and a victim of #parentalalienation when society, for the most part, doesn’t recognize you simply because of your gender.

@AngieUn27401972 Of course, they do - all children and all victims regardless of their gender, sexuality, ethnicity, religion or not are entitled to protection from violence and abuse.

@AngieUn27401972 I’ve provided you with research/statistics on filicide which you reject because it doesn’t fit with your narrative. You’re an ideologue and not genuinely interested in protecting children or parents from domestic violence and abuse.

@BrokenMen1 No. If you have evidence of this, please provide it. Just from news reports alone, the number of kids killed by fathers in custody cases greatly outnumber moms.

@AngieUn27401972 I'm afraid it does distinguish. It's in the name: 'filicide', which is the deliberate act of a parent killing their own child. The fact that you lack even the most basic understanding of the terminology is telling to say the very least.

@BrokenMen1 I talking about when newborns are left outside or in the trash by teen moms. I was trying not to be explicit. I know that report your citing. It doesn’t distinguish accidental deaths from intentional ones.

@AngieUn27401972 You’re becoming progressively more ridicules! The study relates to ‘filicide’ - the killing of one’s child, not abandonments or accidents and it covers 32 years of U.S. filicide data.

@BrokenMen1 Actually, yes. Those numbers include early infancy deaths (teens who abandoned the babies, accidental suffocations, etc.). When you look at the rates for older kids and in custody or DV, cases it’s almost entirely dads killing their kids.

@AngieUn27401972 So you are entirely selective with your stats/information etc. You reject anything that doesn't fit with your narrative while claiming your position is supported by stats/facts except you decide which facts.

@BrokenMen1 It was pushed through by money grubbing members of the AFCC from my understanding. Your prolonged conflict and painful family break up is their beach house, boat, fancy cars.

@AngieUn27401972 This is horrific, clearly & I can point to many other horrific examples of where fathers tried to warn the system. Children are being left in the care of parents who are a threat to them. I’m experienced this first hand so thanks for the reminder but I’m already acutely aware.

@AngieUn27401972 A study in the journal Forensic Science International looked at three decades worth of US filicide cases and found that 42% of killers were mothers, with fathers making up about 57%. But these are "misleading" too I'll bet.

@BrokenMen1 I’m in the US, where 3-4 women are killed EACH DAY by men in DV incidents and almost 700 kids have been killed mostly by fathers who got some custody despite evidence of abuse.

@AngieUn27401972 On May 25th 2019, the World Health Organisation accepted the current version of ICD-11 which contains within it the index term parental alienation for the code QE.52 Caregiver-Child Relationship Problem.

@BrokenMen1 I get men who claim one thing, then their exes DM me and tell me another story. So I look at the facts, the relevant stats, and news reports in concluding PA is a dangerous and irresponsible concept and that most women and children are NOT lying about abuse.

@AngieUn27401972 This stat is from the same people that say one woman (in Australia) was killed by an intimate partner every nine days between July 2015 & July 2016. Presumably, that stat is not misleading to you as it suits your narrative?

@BrokenMen1 Citing misleading stats hurts your credibility. Most custody related child homicides are by the hands of abusive fathers. I’m not saying mothers never commit filicide or that all men are abusive. I’m saying it’s predominantly fathers who kill children in custody cases.

@AngieUn27401972 A 10+ year study by the Australian Institute of Criminology could hardly be considered “misleading”.
