@JuliaCutajar Oh I love Harmony day! It's such a great day to celebrate in schools. I would run an activity where students draw their hands and for each finger they write who they feel like they belong with.

@EvePollard_ Thanks Eve. That's correct, this is why I believe literature belongs in all KLA's not just English. The learning that comes out of books is incredible and will always be a great resource,

@Brook_bailey_98 What a great piece of literature to use Brook! Not only are students learning about SDG12 but they are learning to pose questions, inquire, collaborate and investigate whilst engaging in both literacy and science syllabus outcomes!

Another great piece of literature to be used in teaching about #SDG14. By introducing students to sea pollution and enabling them to become global citizens and think sustainability. I will definitely be using this book in my teaching. #UoNTeach #Educ4750

@EvePollard_ This is an awesome way to include minecraft into SDG14 Eve! This would prompt an inquiry for students to discuss together the effects on the environment.

@Brook_bailey_98 S could work in pairs where one creates a world where an ocean is contaminated with rubbish and the other creates a world where the ocean is rubbish free and the surrounding environment is clean! Students could then write down the effects these 2 worlds have on the environment!

What an interactive activity for students to create their own vegetable garden using Keynote. Students not only apply ICT skills but promote SDG 12 and work towards content outcomes in the Geography, Maths, Science and Technology syllabus. #UoNTeach #educ4750

@EvePollard_ A rocket ship, how cool! I would incorporate Art and get students to trace their shadows with materials and then decorate their shadow. Great idea for responsible consumption!

@Brook_bailey_98 What a great way to introduce this idea to students. Quality literature is a fantastic resource for all topics and is very engaging. I have not seen this book yet but it would be a great addition to any class.

@jackmacp133 What a great activity Jack! Kind of similar but I would ask students what they could create in the game to stop any rubbish going into the ocean without affecting the environment. Students would be critically thinking ways to be sustainable for both the ocean and the land.

@Brook_bailey_98 In my classroom of Year 4 students I would ask students to create an environment surrounding the ocean that incorporates sustainable ideas keeping the oceans clean. Students would present on the IWB to peers. What would you do Brook?

@Brook_bailey_98 Absolutely! This is something I have always been passionate about, using the local area. Students should be knowledgeable in their own local areas.

@Rachelle_m_99 @Take3fortheSea It is isn't it! That is awesome that you will be incorporating Tae 3 for the Sea into your school program. I think it would engage a lot of students while educating them on the dangers of pollution to the sealife.

@JuliaCutajar I love the Take 3 for the Sea program. I think this should be included once a year into schools sparking further investigation into why our beaches have so much rubbish.
