@Cyril_III @iamExpel We haven’t talked to the HVAC people. They aren’t inviting us to any of these conversations and they aren’t explaining what they’re wanting to do and why it would void the warranty. 😩

@Brookecookie925 @iamExpel I assumed that was the need for additional cooling. I guess another option would be a freestanding unit that stays in the room. Might be able to come up with a way to build in the exhaust duct. Have you spoken to the HVAC contractor about options?

What do we do? @iamExpel and I are building a house. The builder is well known and typically does good work. We are running into an issue where the construction manager promised us a solution regarding Corbin's office and the HVAC system. We have it in writing. He is now gone.

@Cyril_III @iamExpel Haha that was an option, but it was $7,000! That’s when they suggested the zoning. He doesn’t really need that much for his office because he has a server room. All of his equipment will be separate. We wanted to be able to cool his room without having to cool the whole house.

@Brookecookie925 @iamExpel What if you do your normal HVAC and then add a mini split system for his office?

@Cyril_III @iamExpel We are also confused as to how this would void the warranty. The construction manager suggested we zone Corbin’s office so we can put it at a lower temperature. All of a sudden they’re saying that zoning would void the warranty because it would put extra strain on the HVAC.

@Brookecookie925 @iamExpel My opinion is no. If the construction manager was authorized to negotiate/promise on behalf of the builder than I would consider it binding. I am not sure why they would void a warranty and not sure how they would since the warranty is typically a manufacturer warranty.

they can just not do what they promised us at the beginning. What do we do? Can a builder back out of a written agreement? or change the written agreement at the last second?

He has left the company. The builder is now saying they will "accommodate" the request because it was promised, BUT they want to void our HVAC warranty. This was never mentioned before and basically the only option they're giving us is to either void our warranty or...

How are gas prices fluctuating by .20 cents every day? At the same corner a QT was $2.79 and 7 Eleven was $2.54. The next day they’ll be totally different prices +- .20 cents. I just don’t understand.

I need advice. We booked another @PrincessCruises and got a really good deal. Now they’re saying there was a glitch in the booking. I don’t think they’re going to honor this deal even though we already paid. Do we keep the cruise because it’s not a bad price or cancel it?

@Riderpride639 @PrincessCruises I have the printed receipt of the deal thankfully, but when I call they say they can’t help me. They said I could pay to upgrade to the deal I got lol. I’ve sent them an email, which is apparently the only way to resolve an error like this, but I have little faith…

Hurricane Helene hit us right in the teeth. We haven’t had power or cell service all day. My fence is ripped all to hell and we’ve got trees down everywhere. Thankfully we are ok and we have all of the essentials we should need for a few days!
