Senior AFL figures aren't happy (to put it lightly) with William Houghton KC, following his remarks at the appeals board hearing for Lance Collard last night.
There are high level meetings today to determine the next steps. Houghton is the Chair of the appeals board which downgraded Collard's sanction to four weeks.

Well done @AFL, thousands spent on legal fees only to land on a technicality that solves nothing. The facts still aren’t resolved, so the whole situation is left hanging. Not a serious organisation, just an embarrassment.

Elijah Hollands was the victim of a mental health episode and not under the influence of drugs during his erratic performance against Collingwood last night.
Carlton has undertaken a thorough review of Hollands’ circumstances, but after investigating are convinced his issues are not substance-related.
