I would also argue if a candidate has the fewest first place votes then basically by definition they are not the consensus candidate.

@BetterBallotGa This isn't correct, unfortunately. Your vote won't apply to your second ranked candidate if they have already been eliminated.
Your second favorite may have actually been the consensus winner, but can still be eliminated by RCV for not getting enough first-preference votes.

I voted today in GA for the PSC primary. One candidate had been DQ’d after early voting had started. Any votes cast for him will not be counted.
If Georgia had RCV/IRV, those voters would still (potentially) have a say in this election.

I got to hang out with former Georgia State Rep @Scot23 at @RepresentUs’ #ADS2025 and thank him for testifying against Ohio’s #RankedChoiceVoting Ban Bill. It’s good that some #Ohio cities use runoffs to uphold majority rule, but we’d all be better off with #RCV #InstantRunoffs!
