Montana State Auditor James Brown uncovered the largest Obamacare fraud in state history. Bad actors came in to take advantage of our most vulnerable population while advertising themselves as “here to help” and trafficking them out of state, eventually abandoning them. Listen for more details.

The auditor's office is a criminal justice agency, but we lack the tools that other crime-fighting agencies have. We need to legislatively bolster our ability to investigate and prosecute the bad actors targeting Montanans. Thanks to "Broker Bites" podcast for having me on!

Montana is lucky to be one of just six states with a restitution fund for victims of securities fraud. I'm committed to making maximum use of the fund and keeping it well funded amid an increase in fraud cases.

I've now successfully fended off two lawsuits designed to stop me from exercising my authority to protect Montana consumers. My office will continue to put Montanans first and take decisive legal action to defend them.
