When we sponsored this bill, it was clear that Montana was discrimating against women in PnC and Life insurance and ignoring the actuarial science. This was a unique law in Montana. I'm happy we leveled the field and made it fair. Thanks to @BrownCSIMT for continuing the fight.

Great win for @BrownCSIMT and @TroyDowningMT, and a nice victory for #mtleg withstanding a constitutional challenge too. Repealing MT's costly unisex insurance mandate was the right move. It drove up insurance costs for men and women alike. We were the only state with such a regulation. The lawsuit challenging HB 379 was backed by some big out-of-state money, including a $50k grant from a national social justice org. Glad to see common sense prevail over out-of-state special interests on this one.

We have seen a large influx of AI related fraud at our office over the past year. While our office is using AI to support consumers, we know fraudsters manipulate AI to rob Montanans of their hard earned money. We thank Senator Sheehy for taking a hard stance against AI Fraud by sponsoring the AI Fraud Accountability Act.
