@danielprescott1 @AnthropoTube @Dr_TheHistories they did. other humanoid species dying out did not happen because they stayed in one place and didn't develop; it happened because that is the nature of things. more than 99% of species that have ever existed have died out. billions of different species of every and anything

@AnthropoTube @Dr_TheHistories I guess my question is how is it possible other variants of humanoids didn't travel and find secluded spots and continue developing independently for a million years?

A Highland New Guinean reacts in pure shock after seeing a white person for the very first time. Until the 1930s, many Highland communities lived so deep in the mountains that they genuinely believed they were the only humans on Earth. When Australian explorers finally reached the region, both sides were stunned. The Highlanders saw pale‑skinned strangers with strange clothes and tools they’d never imagined. And the explorers discovered more than a million people living in valleys they assumed were empty.
The Highlands of Papua New Guinea remained one of the most isolated human regions on Earth well into 20th Century. Because the terrain is mountainous, densely forested, and extremely difficult to cross, outside contact simply never reached these inland communities. While coastal groups had interacted with Europeans since the 1500s, the Highlanders lived in complete cultural and geographic separation.
They developed their own agriculture, social systems, and belief structures, with no knowledge that other civilizations existed beyond their valleys. When Australian explorers unexpectedly entered the Highlands in the early 1930s, they encountered more than a million people who had lived uninterrupted for thousands of years.
For the Highlanders, the arrival of pale‑skinned strangers was a world‑shattering moment. Many believed their own tribe represented the entirety of humanity, and outsiders were often interpreted as spirits or supernatural beings.
The photograph captures that raw, unfiltered shock, a man reacting to a reality he never imagined possible. For the explorers, it was equally astonishing to find thriving societies in a region they assumed was empty. This encounter remains one of the most dramatic examples of first contact in modern history, showing how two human worlds can evolve side by side yet remain completely unaware of each other until a single moment changes everything.

#AbbottElementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph says HIV and AIDS are “not a dead issue in America right now,” citing an “uptick” in women of color contracting the disease:
• “As we spread awareness, so many women have no idea that PrEP is also for them,” she told Variety. “It’s not just for men.”
• Ralph has been raising funds and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS for over 40 years
• She attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation #Oscars viewing party on Sunday night, which raised $10.6M for the cause

A professor built an app in 12 hours that Meta's billion dollar team never wanted to exist.
It detects their Ray-Ban glasses nearby using Bluetooth.
Your phone vibrates: "Smart Glasses are probably nearby."
Meta's own internal memo said they'd launch facial recognition on the glasses "during a dynamic political environment" when civil rights groups would be too distracted to fight back.
Harvard students already proved it works.
They built glasses that reveal your name, phone number and home address just by looking at your face.
Meta sold 7 million pairs last year.
They look identical to normal glasses.
The LED that blinks when recording? There are tutorials to disable it.
One professor got fed up and built a counter in his spare time.
It's Free & open source with zero ads.
Detects within 50 feet outdoors. 32 feet in a crowd.

Bringing back institutions makes sense when you consider they also put suffragettes, unruly wives, queer people, antiwar and civil rights protesters in them too.
“Crazy” just means “not normal” and only people in power decides what “normal” is.
