When fugitive pastor Shepherd Bushiri bought his new Gulfstream jet in 2015, payment was delayed a day because the Lanseria-based company selling it did not have a machine to count the more than $1.1m (then about R17.7m) in cash he brought to pay for it. tinyurl.com/338ysszm

@danmelsonauthor @Ayoelesho All proceeds of Iraq oil are kept at US Fed Reserve and they are drip fed as and when they need money. Iraq oil basically mainly benefits the USA now. That's one example of a war to steal oil and the proof is there, you can fact check

@Ayoelesho How much of Venezuela's oil did we steal? Of Iraq's? Where are the riches you claim you believe we brought home from Afghanistan, etcetera?

Matt, let me educate you on the points you’ve raised: America is the richest country in the world today because it invades countries and pillages their resources to build its own. Not because Americans are more hardworking or smarter than anybody else, but because its government steals whatever it sets its sights on. The recent invasion of Venezuela and the theft of its oil are still fresh in the world’s memory. And even though you “left” Iraq after invading it in 2003 under the false claim of WMDs, the Iraqi people still do not have access to their oil wealth except as Washington allows. No, America is not the most powerful country in the world. China is. America only seems powerful because it is the most brutal empire to have existed since the inception of humanity. America sees nothing wrong with killing schoolchildren, carpet-bombing cities, and using nuclear weapons on its enemies. It is this brutality that makes Americans erroneously think America is powerful. True power is pragmatic, patient, and slow to resort to violence, qualities which America lacks. This is why, even though China is the most powerful country in the world, it has not invaded any neighbours, kidnapped or assassinated leaders of sovereign countries, or used force. It prefers to settle disputes diplomatically. And this is exactly why the world now looks to China as the leader of the free world. Finally, America is the most charitable country in the world because it costs it nothing to be charitable, but its charity doesn’t come free. The dollar system it has imposed on the world makes it seem charitable: it costs nothing to print dollars and distribute them to Global South countries in exchange for resources. When those countries refuse your dollars, you organise regime change by bribing dishonest dissidents in their governments. Unlike China, you never help poor countries develop infrastructure, because that would mean helping them grow, something your foreign policy despises. You only give them dollars printed for free, which end up in the pockets of your installed puppets. It is also why you can sponsor terrorism under the guise of charity through institutions like USAID. Don’t take my word for it, a US congressman revealed this. So, Matt, I advise you to learn more about your own country. You’d realise that even though you’re the richest, you live on stolen wealth, you are not the most powerful but only the most brutal, and your charity is not really charity but a terrorism-funding and regime-change ploy.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

America is the richest, most powerful, and most generous country in the world. We are so superior to everyone else, and so charitable and kind and helpful, that unfortunately many of the lesser countries on the globe have become welfare queens who expect us to coddle, care for, fund, fight for and protect them. We are the parents who have taken good care of our children, but have not forced them to contribute enough, or earn their own keep, and now they are spoiled, ungrateful, and helpless. It’s time to cut the umbilical cord and force the rest of the countries to stand on their own two feet. We can’t do everything for everyone.

@angrycrabcake66 @EmmaRincon I think it's tax evasion. If your price is 20% higher than what is on the menu, just make the menu price 20% higher and I know already as I am deciding what I cam afford to eat on the menu. No sneak attacks

I went to a steakhouse in Miami, paid the bill, and they automatically added a 20% tip. When the waiter brought the check, he said: “That tip goes to the whole establishment—if you want to leave something for me, it’s extra.” I didn’t add anything else—20% is already too much. He gave me a dirty look, like I was robbing him. This tipping culture is out of control.

@Brown_built The divide should be over philosophy and policy. A party - certainly not a liberal party - should not choose between people on a racial or class basis, at the like.

I notice some are calling for the DA to focus on winning the support of black South Africans, and others are calling for the DA to focus on winning the support of Afrikaners. But the DA must be the party for all South Africans, because every South African is of equal worth, and because no one will succeed unless everyone has a place and a future in our country. That has always been the position of the DA and, given what every candidate for leadership is saying, it remains the position of the DA.

@NathanpmYoung Hey Nathan, Asia just awoke from a century of slumber relatively recently. They also went through over a century of no growth, just corruption, wars and being exploited. Africa is in that phase, that too shall pass, don't be overly simplistic

Lesotho 🇱🇸 wants to renegotiate its water deal with South Africa 🇿🇦 . Through the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, water flows from Lesotho to Gauteng, including Johannesburg. Right now, Lesotho earns about $200 million a year, around 10% of its economy. But the deal was signed in 1986, and Lesotho says it’s outdated. They now want higher royalties and better compensation. Talks are expected to begin in April 2026.

@RyanCoetzee Ryan Bro, Philosophy and Policy are largely influenced by economic class. Marlow's hierarchy of needs! As a person progresses up through the classes, what is important to them changes. This is why it appears as a race divide when in fact it is an apartheid made class divide

Ideally I would always try to settle out of court, it seems to me that if Learnmore "agrees" it validates Lebo. Lebo M needs this to go away more than Jonasi does right now. We are also told this represents a "white flag moment aimed at de-escalating tensions." Lebo M created the tension. He filed the lawsuit. He escalated. Calling your own retreat a white flag moment is not humility. The framing throughout remains that Lebo is the aggrieved custodian of cultural heritage, graciously extending dialogue to the man who wronged him. That framing is false, and this letter enshrines it. A man of principle does not sue a comedian for $27 million over a joke. A man of impulse does exactly that, and then hires a PR strategist to write a press release calling it principle. The only settlement worth accepting is one that Involves no admission of wrongdoing whatsoever. Anything short of that hands Lebo a victory he did not earn in court and cannot win there.

🇮🇷 The IRGC declares all American and Israeli universities in the Middle East "legitimate targets" in retaliation for the destruction of Iranian universities: "We advise all staff, professors, and students to stay one kilometer away to ensure their lives are preserved." Threatening to bomb universities full of civilians is a line that should be condemned regardless of what side you're on. There are thousands of students across Gulf campuses like NYU Abu Dhabi, Georgetown Qatar, and dozens more who have nothing to do with this war. This is the IRGC at its worst: punishing civilians in other countries for strikes they didn't carry out, widening the circle of suffering to people who can't fight back. If Iran wants the world to see them as the moral side of this conflict, this is how you lose that argument overnight. Source: @HadiZonouzi

I'm disappointed with your MVP choice. I think it’s Jokic and he remains the best player in the world with his production and value to his team - the proof is out in plain sight. I don’t care what some fly-by-night sport sites report or argue, there’s nobody out there today convincing enough to dethrone him from being #1 in the world.. his unselfish play and team-first approach is refreshing at a time when stat padding and flopping for FTs has taken over the league by supposed elite players. You’ll need to find someone else, because the MVP is certainly not SGA - unless they gift him a 2nd one while politicizing the game!!!
