I don’t even think they should jump straight to Cassidy. If he ends up your guy, he ends up your guy but I think they should still do their due diligence with the coach. Maybe a new guy will be the best fit? Who knows

Craig Berube has now met with new Leafs GM John Chayka, and while nothing is set in stone, it appears he’s likely to return next season as head coach. With a record of 84-62-12 over two years, including one season winning the division and another finishing last in the division with 1 single playoff series win, there’s still plenty of uncertainty surrounding the direction of the team moving forward. If you were in charge of the Maple Leafs brass, would you stick with Chief for another year and see how things play out, or bring in a new head coach to take the team in a different direction? The first Canada match in Toronto is 4 weeks from Friday. I’m told at least 3500-4000 tickets are still unsold. Canada Soccer put tickets for all 3 Group matches in all 3 price categories on sale today. My friend sent me a screenshot after logging on to examine the prices. I get the once-in-lifetime value of this, I truly do - but there’s a been a clear combination of gouging, AND miscalculating the market. They’ve been unable to sell 45K tickets in Toronto/55K in VAN. Imagine if it was 70K+, like most of the NFL stadiums. The public will always set the price in the modern marketplace - not the other way around.
