Boveney is a Liberty of Burnham parish for a while it was served from Eton College. On the banks of the Thames, St Mary Magdalene was a Chapel of Ease 3 miles from Burnham village & 2 from Eton College. Now the chapel is in the care of @friendschurches #Buckinghamshire

#OTDH 5 June 1825. Marc Brunel orders a further 8000 bricks to be added to the top of the Thames Tunnel Shaft. When the bricks don't force the shaft to move, he orders more bricks...and more...and more... 50, 000 bricks later and the Tunnel Shaft is still stuck!
