Breaking News: President Trump called the head of FIFA days before the suspension of Folarin Balogun, the U.S.’s top goal scorer in the World Cup, was reversed. nyti.ms/3RnKLVj

Folarin Balogun will be available to play the USMNT’s round of 16 match against Belgium, with his one-game red-card ban that he received against Bosnia and Herzegovina suspended. Article 27 of FIFA’s disciplinary code states that “the judicial body may decide to fully or partially suspend the implementation of a disciplinary measure.” nyti.ms/3RkeoH5

The NYT reports that Trump personally called FIFA President Gianni Infantino and asked him to review Team USA’s Folarin Balogun’s World Cup suspension after his red card. Days later, FIFA reversed the suspension. It’s the first time since 1962 that FIFA has overturned a World Cup red-card suspension. Wow

He's Back... @USMNT
