@WaddiPark Can’t speak for the fd2 but our hd40r is an animal in direct heading canola. With the added benefit of ground following in cereals ( we have some pretty extreme rocky areas ) and was great in lentils shaving the ground. Touch wood no issues so far🤞

JD harvester owner/operators. HD40R or Macdon FD2. what’s the better front for direct heading canola, lupins and cereals. Taking into account purchase price, R&M and productivity.

@Tedthekelpie We had a sticker made up. Keep it simple👍 doesn’t matter where u start in the paddock then as long as u travel the right pass will always match up well

Does anyone have a simple solution to making sure an airseeder travels the same direction up a tram every year?

@WaddiPark Yes we run 1 of their kits on a 280R. We’ve only had the tractor 2 yrs 2000hrs but frontend has been no issues. We did have baring failures and driveline issues with cottonreels on previous 8rs

@WaddiPark 1 place I worked at we sowed twice at half rate at a different angle on 15” rows. Worked well and is all in the ground atleast

Oaten hay growers. If I was to spread oats in front of the seeder to get zero row spacings what would be the best % spread and seeded? And yes 15” rows are too wide for hay, the only negative.

@CorbinSchuster Few small sets of shelves. 1 for spares( nozzles, filters, fittings, etc) 1 set for small bits of chem( small dry chem, 1-10L bits n pieces) amazing how much tidier it made our shed

Once again I’m after recommendations for an all-terrain tyre. Top vote last time was Toyos open country which has lasted only 30k. Rotated every 5 and very attracted to nails. Don’t think I got my moneys worth there at $320 a pop
