@bestofstarwar What I find funny is that Disney couldn't come up with original ideas, so they took them from Legends. Thrawn, the Nogri, the Nightsisters, etc
12 years ago in April 2014, Disney made the decision to decanonise the old Star Wars EU and classify it as Legends.
Now in 2026, do you think this was the right move?
@Kramaramb How intimidating is this to have 2 dudes standing next to the machine like this? And I bet if someone walked up, tapped the machine, and Ascended heroes ETB popped up, they would try and get physical with you.
Can i ask an honest question?
What does scalping pay per hour after factoring in gas, fees, and all that?
Kinda feel like it's sub minimum wage but what do i know
Following recent reports that the Trump Administration is considering offering Spirit Airlines a loan worth $500 million to avoid liquidation, in exchange for the Pentagon receiving a significant stake in the low-cost airline; a group of budget airlines, including Avelo and Frontier, is seeking $2.5 billion in government assistance in exchange for warrants that could convert into equity stakes in the companies for the U.S. government, people familiar with the matter tell the Wall Street Journal.
Grateful the DOJ officially acknowledged Polymarket's cooperation on this case.
Noise aside, the reality is we work proactively with all relevant authorities on any suspicious activity on our marketplace. We flagged this, referred it, and cooperated throughout the process. This happens constantly behind the scenes, despite what many are led to believe.
The transparency afforded by onchain markets makes global compliance more effective than ever. Every trade is public, permanent, and auditable. Bad actors leave a trail.
As with any fast growing new space, we're adapting and improving as we go. We appreciate the government's willingness to collaborate, learn, and engage with us to bring justice.
More to come.
@MeanTweetTommy@PinoAmericano To your point though, the same thing happens when a member of Congress takes a position long or short in market. There is always someone on the other end that loses.
@PinoAmericano That is something I didn't consider, the people on the other side. Those people lost because they didn't have all of the information, you have a very valid point.
I don’t care if this is an unpopular opinion or not: the soldier who traded Polymarket with classified information was absolutely wrong to do so. There were honest bettors on the other side of his bets who lost money. They did not have the benefit of the same information.
Last month, we published our enhanced market integrity rules to combat insider trading.
When we identified a user trading on classified government information, we referred the matter to the DOJ & cooperated with their investigation.
Insider trading has no place on Polymarket. Today's arrest is proof the system works.
@CollinRugg This is absolute garbage. Kelly Loeffler faced no penalties, fines, or charges regarding allegations of insider trading following her stock trades in early 2020.
BREAKING: The DOJ has arrested a special forces soldier who made $400,000 betting on the removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, according to ABC.
Federal investigators say the soldier bet more than $33,000 just hours before Trump announced Maduro's capture.
The special forces soldier was reportedly directly involved with the capture.
"The largest position -- a $32,537 bet that Maduro would be out of office by Jan. 31 -- resulted in a 1,242% profit of $404,222," ABC News reported.
"Following his successful trading relating to Maduro- and Venezuela-related contracts, [Gannon Ken] VAN DYKE allegedly sent most of his proceeds to a foreign cryptocurrency vault before depositing them into a newly created online brokerage account. The same day of the operation, VAN DYKE withdrew the majority of his allegedly unlawful proceeds from his Polymarket account..." the DOJ announced.
"VAN DYKE, 38, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is charged with three counts of violating the Commodity Exchange Act, each of which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison; one count of wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison; and one count of an unlawful monetary transaction, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison."
@TitoSanTanaChez 7. He had a good 18 months of being the guy everyone wanted to see and who kids wanted to be, but his fall from grace was nothing short of spectacular.
This group of teens came in with cameras ready, they were trying record themselves doing a good hack to get more food for less. The manager immediately stops them and tells them she is refusing service because they are recording without permission.
The man lies and claims he’s only recording because it’s his first time ordering. She then says she’s going to call the police if they don’t leave.
Was she overreacting at that point or do you think these influencers are crossing the line by always trying to record others without their permission?
After the guy pretended the goose had knocked him down, the bird puffed out its chest and strutted over to the female like a total show-off of strength and pure masculinity. 🤣🤣
