I commend @DougPolkVids and his partners for the bold move of opening such a high end poker room in the grey market. Ethically, there is no issue. Players want the business he provides, and it appears to be well run, on the up and up. Legality is often at odds with ethics. Things can be ethical but illegal, and vice versa. Wishing Doug and the Lodge and the rest of the Texas poker rooms the best of luck in fighting this latest chapter of government fucking with poker.

I have read Search and Seizure Warrant against The Lodge in full, and it does appear to be a witch hunt. Essentially, they're deeming poker in TX illegal and therefore classifying what we'd consider normal banking transactions as money laundering because it's proceeds from what they say is illegal gambling. All the undercover operations outlined in the affidavit describe a normally functioning, well-run poker room. To me, nothing in it suggests what we in the poker world would consider scandalous/nefarious, but rather authorities simply taking a stance on the grey area/loophole that they consider illegal. If the TABC ultimately prevails that poker at The Lodge constitutes illegal gambling, it’ll shut down every room in TX. More on @PokerNews here 👇 pokernews.com/news/2026/03/t…

- Shut up and Deal. 💯🙏📖💕 - June 2-7, 2010. Bellagio. ♣️❤️♦️♠️ - 115 hours. 10/20/40 nlh. ($+6,776) - Guessing that about 10 have played longer. (Both before and since!) - It’s the Guinness record NOT because it was the longest, but because it was the longests with… A) 2 witness signatures every 30 mins. B) Continuous live stream feed (overhead). C) Every hand I looked at filmed. D) 5 mins per hour for breaks. (Stacking allowed.)

Psst... A few days ago, while you were scrolling to see if the gov't released the files on UFO's... The US Federal Reserve just gave @krakenfx (Who literally supported us on tour financially when our bus broke down bc they are fucking badasses), a Bitcoin & crypto exchange, direct access to its core payment system. Kraken can now move money through Fedwire. The same traditional rails Wall Street’s biggest banks like JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and Citi use. This is HUGE. Stablecoins now have a direct bridge to the Federal Reserve (those guys who print the dollar). That’s the slow trojan horse into Bitcoin. The dollar’s purchasing power keeps decreasing year over year. And as more of the traditional financial system moves onchain and Bitcoin’s volatility continues to decline, billions of people will eventually face a simple choice. Press one button to choose to store your wealth in a currency that’s immune to inflation. Or don't.

Fuck that beta thinking. I'll give you a business grind right now: You sell every restaurant and small business in your local area a website for $30/month. Initial creation, infinity revisions, and every change, no matter how big or small, for as long as they are a client is included in the charge. You can give Claude $200/month and pump your customers text or WhatsApp changes directly to it. Would take a few days to set up knowing nothing. Claude chat will tell you how to get an AWS EC2 instance that will cost you $50 per month max. Keep automating every part of the loop until you are taken out of it, except for the personal sales part. Show up in person. One-shot the business a website right in front of them. Have your new business message you when something needs your attention. Over time, it will message you less and less. Go get a few hundred accounts over the next 3 months and quit your job when the income is enough.

@BryanMicon I am depressed I don't have startup money to support myself giving up my income. Instead I'll be giving the value to a fortune 100 company and innovating the work for them :(

Not a big fan of Trump, not a big fan of the Shah. We can both agree the American actions from half a century ago were terrible. The 1979 revolution was absolutely the people rising up against imperialism. No arguments there. What Iran has become over the last half century is also terrible. Most humans there don't want hard line Islamic rule. Do you disagree?

@BryanMicon @grok Bro you think the proud Iranian people, who freed themselves from imperialist Western rule, want their country to be run by a Zionist monarchist for the benefit of the U.S.? There’s likely not a single fact about Iran that you’ve learned in your life that didnt come from the CIA.

"Call 'em like I see 'em" IRAN BOMBING EDITION 1) Seeing lots of leftists blindly support whatever side Trump is against. Dangerous to go on record in support of a top 5 most brutal government of all time. 2) Not everything Trump does is for the right reasons. Not everything he does is for the wrong reasons. Lots of grey areas in international politics. 3) If Iranian regime change happens, it's a massive net positive for humanity. ~20-30% of the 90m Iranians support the Islamic nonsense. ~70-80% are mostly smart, mostly Persian people that would sure like proper freedom to travel as they please, speak as they please, and generally interact with the rest of the free world. Most of the women there do not want to have a man sign for them to travel. It's a brutal regime. Always risk when a half century of rule falls. But this time, the risk/reward is worth it, no matter how it started.

What do you believe I've said is CIA propaganda? How many people I know in Tehran is not relevant to the discussion in any way. @grok, give me the rundown on the Iranian people, in regards to their support of the IRGC and the Ayatollahs. What % like living under their rule? What % would prefer more freedom? I know it's hard to get good info from there, give your best estimations.

@tomkoral Would be difficult to get someone more radical and brutal out of this, the most likely non-regime change outcome is the IRGC remaining. Lots of risk here, and it won't always run clean, but far better outcomes for the Iranian people have just gotten a lot of equity.

It's a good question. I'm just callin' em like I see em here. North Korea is very different animal than Iran. I've been fascinated by NK for a long time. Certainly an enslaved people, a 1/1 situation. Multigenerational country-level cult-of-personality brainwashing. The consistency of defections show there is some % in there that wants to be free, but I'd wager not as high as the Iranians. That brainwashing works. If I'm commander in chief (my OP autocorrected to "and" making me sound retarded) my bar is super high to use the military. Wouldn't have gone in on Iran. Wouldn't go in on North Korea.

@cuntycakes123 ~20-30% if the country is down with the Islamic sickness, ~70-80% smart Persians basically enslaved. The majority of those people want proper freedom, not religious bullshit.

I’m all with the anti Israel pro Palestine crowd but feel like the Iranians are basically the nut low of human existence. Literally everyone hates them besides a few radical shia Muslims (bffs are like Assad, hezbolla, houthis). Probably close to ethic cleansing territory even vs native sunnis, will basically kill you express a free thought or live a lifestyle they don’t approve of all in the name of a niche sect of a completely bullshit religious doctrine.
