@nsandihelp Thanks Isabella. Trouble is, because you take 3-4 days to pay out, I lose 3-4 days interest before I can pay it back in again.

@Brynskis interest, you would need to deposit the funds by one of the methods available on the NS&I website, e.g. debit card. Isabella. 2/2

@nsandihelp Income Bonds account. Is it possible to set this up so that the interest is immediately re-invested into the account, rather than being sent to a nominated UK bank account?

@Rob_Briner Funny, but so many thoughts: Obvs not great to not know the name of the university you have chosen. Maybe just a bit nervous. Maybe just heard those were the "elite/best" ones and wanted to please you with their answer. And twenty other possibilities. But what did you say?

At the start classes I sometimes try to settle and focus the students by asking questions. Once, this happened: Q. So, what degree are you studying? A. MSc This module is? Organizational behaviour And this university is called? Russell Group theguardian.com/education/2023…

@Rob_Briner Anyway, I shouldn’t complain, it’s a problem that’s given me a job and purpose for the last 30 years.

@Rob_Briner Not that hard but sadly I think the basic premise of the article is correct. Self promotion works. I think @drtcp has already covered this ground quite elegantly explaining why it’s a serious problem in the workplace rather than proposing it as a means to advance your career!

@Rob_Briner Indeed. Others might see right through your pomposity and conceit with just a few simple interview questions. 😂😂

@jonnygiff @CIPD Wow, that's a lot of detailed work, thank you! I see there are (predictably) a lot of cross-sectional studies, which precludes any interpretation of direction of causality (does trust lead to better performance or vice versa). Any studies you'd recommend that address that?

Just some of the fun existential questions I'll be addressing in my #keynote tomorrow at the @EAWOP congress. It's quite possible that most of these questions are really more about me than organizational psychology - but I think useful to ask anyway. #projection #EAWOP2023

3. No HR function at board level? How is this a model for British industry? 4. "We failed to conduct proper cultural onboarding of staff." What? 5. It's almost as though the CBI is not well-managed. So maybe it is a sort of model for British industry. 🤔

This statement from @CBItweets is extraordinary. 1. Why go on about culture? This is not helpful. Focus on behaviour. Invoking 'culture' is just a way of avoiding issues. 2. Not reacting when cultural values are violated means they are not your values. cbi.org.uk/media-centre/a…

@AndrewPMunro @BBC I think you are right Andrew. At this rate I might even start watching again after a 7 year break (couldn't stand the blatant bias and encouragement for bigoted tabloid readers to mouth off at will).

I sense that someone @BBC has finally told Fiona Bruce To say: "Stop interrupting and closing down comments that don't reflect your husband's agenda. And allow time for opposing views before we replace you with Victoria Derbyshire."

@SoozUK I think I can understand his anger. He probably thinks of himself as a kind and generous person. Then you turn up and actually DO something kind and generous, which challenges his view of himsel. Now he can either (a) decide to change (b) get angry with you.
