Regarding Tony Khan: The ROH media scrum was the first I had ever taken part of, I was terrified to ask a question but I knew I wanted to contribute and feel like I deserved to be there. You would think it would be even more intimidating when the owner of the company walks in the room, but that was far from the truth. He was incredibly kind, personable, and welcoming to everyone in that room. I distinctly remember a staff member saying we were out of time for questions, but Tony spoke up and said he wanted to make sure everyone got a chance to ask a question if they had one. Stuff like that leaves a lasting impression. It allowed me and my friends the opportunity to get that experience and contribute to the scrum. I'll remember that.

i’ve only been to 1, but he stayed, answered every question fully & encouraged every person to speak. told his team to make sure everyone gets a question. his kindness & the comfortability i felt is what made me ask him something, despite being scared as it was my first one

The entire TV part build around the Deathriders and the United Empire was a great piece of business and achieved multiple things at the every same time 1) The show did an excellent job of introducing Callum Newman’s United Empire on an AEW stage heading into Forbidden Door season. Not only was the spotlight on the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, but HENARE and Francesco Akira also came across as major players with especially HENARE getting really over by the crowd in Canada. Both stood out in the chaotic opening brawl and later backed it up with strong in-ring outing. 2) The segment also elevated the rivalry between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay. The brawl and preview match effectively built momentum for their upcoming Dynasty match, with Ospreay finally gaining the upper hand after being on the receiving end for most of the feud so far. After the past couple of weeks, a simply promo duel between the two would have felt weird. Choosing an opening brawl into an anything goes match was a great way and fitting to what the storyline has escalated to. 3) The show pushed forward the layered storyline between Callum Newman, Will Ospreay, and the United Empire within New Japan. Despite Ospreay selfishly asking for help just minutes after Newman’s title win, both Newman and the faction came to his aid and supported their brother, while clearly not pleased at this request. However, during the match, Ospreay was repeatedly overwhelmed by the Deathriders, and it was Newman who had to save him multiple times. This dynamic clearly sets up future tension as AEW/NJPW positions Ospreay as more of a liability than a former leader within the reformed United Empire. The eventual turn of Newman will be great and will skyrocket him even more to the top of New Japan as already Everything surrounding the United Empire is some of the best in pro wrestling right now, whether it’s the matches, the layered and evolving storytelling, or the dynamic between the the individual members
