Keir Starmer wants to sign Britain up to EU single market rules while avoiding a parliamentary vote. Yet again, he wants to give up our sovereignty and override the British people by gagging free speech and our national democracy. Vote Reform, Get Starmer Out.

@SuellaBraverman @coulson_elle There SHOULD be safety mechanisms in place to prevent dictators like Starmer from even attempting things like this! As you said, the nation decided. How is it remotely possible that one man can drag us back to obeying their laws?!!!

First they tried to crush dissent after Southport, then it was Digital ID and abolishing jury trials, now it is the subversion and erosion of our parliamentary democracy- exactly what Brexit was supposed to protect. Keir Starmer was the Remoaner-in-Chief of the second referendum ‘People’s Vote’ campaign. He has never accepted that the British people knew better than him. His citizen-of-nowhere politics is hideously out of touch with the country. No wonder he is the most unpopular Prime Minister in history. Brexit was the biggest democratic vote this country has ever seen. It was a vote for British independence and the freedom to make our own laws and set our own way in the world. Today, is just the latest in a long line of betrayals by Westminster and the final nail in the coffin of our democracy. Vote Reform to save Britain and Get Starmer Out.

This is beyond a joke. The police response in Dumfries, Scotland to schoolgirls being pestered and followed by hotel migrants is not to arrest them, not to offer escorts to the school kids, not to reassure parents….but to give RAPE alarms to the schoolgirls 😳Are parents supposed to accept that? Are British people supposed to be ok with that? Is telling us diversity is our greatest strength whilst admitting that diversity might be attacking your daughter really a plausible argument any more. So for avoidance of doubt Keir Starmer, Shabana Mahmood, Jess Philips, David Lammy etc. the next time something awful is done to one of those daughters by a boat migrant we know EXACTLY who to blame…..you!!

When schoolgirls need a rape alarm there is something very wrong with the environment they are living in. In this Scottish town it is believed that the girls may be stalked by hotel migrants. This is not a civilised society. It is like a script from a horror movie. The residents deserve better and those who have put these young girls in danger need to take accountability.

Honestly, I’ve seen my country in bad times, and lived through them. But I have never experienced decline, surrender and stupidity presided over by a government of the United Kingdom on the scale we currently see. It’s truly unprecedented in my lifetime

Has the world gone mad? In a more sensible era, this man would have been rewarded for being brave. Instead, Waitrose sacked him for stopping a suspected shoplifter from stealing a bag of Easter eggs. thesun.co.uk/news/38732283/…

@Madz_Grant @jamespriceglos I am also becoming very attracted to the church. Spent this morning viewing religious programmes. Very impressed by Harry Clark who won Traitors and his exploration of his faith as he returns to it. In precarious times - we turn back to the foundations of our civilisation.

Yesterday I was advised by my optician to go to A&E about an eye condition that I'd developed. This morning I drove to Torbay Hospital, parked up, walked into the A&E department past about 6 ambulances waiting to offload patients, saw a sea of people in the waiting room with absolutely no idea when their ailment might be looked at and immediately decided to turn around, walk out the door and go home. The UK is becoming more of a third World country than some of the third World crap holes we send money to. Meanwhile I'm having to work longer hours just to stand still. You have to wonder EXACTLY how this will all end. If basic services are ALL declining while the amount of money we pay in taxes is forever increasing it surely won't be long before the whole system completely collapses. I give it 5 years.

@_DundeePerfect_ @ShonaMartin_1 @RachelReevesMP Actually it is more usual for snow in Spring. Its not climate change. The reason we think of snow as mainly occurring at Christmas is because of Dickens. He was born at the end of a mini ice age and therefore snow was the norm for him and he wrote it into his Christmas novels.

Yeah I suddenly walked into a TV presenting job with the click of a finger… I worked in Sainsbury’s, for EDF Energy, the water board, call centres, all from age 17, just to get money. I didn’t care what job I did, I just needed to support myself. I said yes to everything, trusting that I’d one day get there and everything would work itself out. I didn’t turn down jobs because it wasn’t my field or what I wanted or dreamed of right that minute or think I was above anything or anyone. I had no money. I never went to uni. I saved hard for a £5,000 journalism course, I then worked like a dog at local newspapers (still on minimum wage) and at a bookmaker at the same time doing 20 hour days for years just to keep grinding. I spent more hard years commuting to London and back, doing graveyard shifts at papers then waiting at Blackfriars station at 3 in the morning to get home to Sussex and start my other job at 9am. It nearly killed me. For years. 16 years it took me to get here. And you know what? I loved it all. I loved the journey, I loved the dark moments asking myself if it was all worth it. I loved the wins. I loved the hard lessons. And I love what I’m doing now. Yes I have the best job in the world (for me) and I’m incredibly grateful. And I’m still grinding. I’ve just done 14 days straight, travelling to Texas, Florida, then DC. Doing a three hour show every night. But I recognise how fortunate I am. I always have, even when I was stacking shelves. I didn’t just turn up at a studio and start presenting. Most importantly I never played the victim.

£48,174. That’s how much Hounslow Council spent on a single rainbow crossing, the most expensive in England. Meanwhile, councils claim they’re struggling to fund basic services. Is this a justified expense, or a complete waste of taxpayer money?

Some cultures are better than others. This is Japanese fans cleaning Wembley after a football game. This doesn’t make them perfect for I still remember WWII. But they are civilised and very respectful.
