According to Google Search Console, some ppl find Bugs for Beginners when they google “cookbooks for beginners.” Not my SEO strategy but I’d <3 to see their faces when they navigate to site and find pics of dishes w/ grasshoppers, crickets, mealworms, etc.

@huwr @IlkkaTaponen In fact the reason it’s called turkey in English is because it reminded settlers of a bird that had been imported to Turkey from India. Brits associated it with Turkey bc that was their context of knowing the type of guineafowl. But yeah, sparkling chicken is better.

Legally, you can only call it a “turkey” if it comes from Turkey. You have to call it a “sparkling chicken”.

@SciBugs Sometimes when I’m eating s fatty pupa that tastes like bacon I think the pitch of entomophagy as a health food has limited utility, should focus on “tastes like bacon”. Your thoughts?

Tis the season in Otavalo for Cachos! A type of beetle. I think I'm eating the pupa? Salty and tastes the the crispy part of bacon.

@CamiloWilisch @medentorose @JulieLesnik Actually people used 2 be disgusted by crustaceans. was once spelled out in contracts for crew on a ship the max times x week crew could be fed lobster, bc lobster was poor person food. Food for poor or rich is about more than taste, also abundance and culture.

Milled crickets are cricket powder NOT cricket flour..there are now firms who blend flour with cricket powder for a cricket flour. Stop confusing your potential customers
