Justin Vining is beginning to make real noise in the South Carolina basketball scene. The 6'0" guard wrapped up his junior season at Fox Creek High School, helping lead the program to a 25–6 record and a run to the SCHSL 3A State Championship game. Vining proved to be one of Fox Creek’s most reliable and consistent players, averaging 12.5 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game while shooting an efficient 50 percent from the field and 43 percent from three. Over the course of his high school career, he has already built an impressive resume, earning All-Region honors twice, All-State honors twice, becoming the school’s all-time assists leader, and ranking third all-time in scoring. This summer, Vining has been running with Carolina Pressure on the Puma circuit, where he has played a major role in the team’s strong live-period performances. His toughness, effort, and physicality at the guard position have consistently stood out. Offensively, Vining impacts the game at all three levels. He finishes effectively around the rim with both hands, has a smooth midrange jumper, and knocks down shots consistently from beyond the arc. One of his biggest strengths is his composure. He never appears rushed and always plays at his own pace, reading the defense and keeping teammates involved throughout the game. Defensively, Vining brings nonstop energy. He applies pressure the full 94 feet, using his length and activity to disrupt opposing guards and force mistakes. His competitiveness, motor, and willingness to rebound make him the type of player coaches love to have on the floor. With the way he continues to develop and compete, Vining is a name that should continue to draw attention from college programs moving forward @jvgetsbusyyy @FoxCreekHoops @antauwn @AndrewBaxleySC @PrepHoopsSC @Uorangemen2 @CPBFamily @RobRose_ @PhenomExposure

Colt Fowler is one of the most dangerous high school guards on the East Coast. Ridge View head coach Joshua Staley put it best: “I've coached against Raymond Felton, Collin Sexton, A’ja Wilson... he is one of the most talented kids I've ever coached against.” Following an incredible junior season at Byrnes High School, Fowler was named South Carolina Player of the Year by MaxPreps after leading Byrnes to a 23–6 record and a trip to the state semifinals. He averaged 24 points, 11 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game while shooting 48 percent from the field and 37 percent from three. Despite being a smaller guard, Fowler dominates games with elite confidence, pace, and basketball IQ. When the ball is in his hands, he controls everything. He is one of the most gifted passers you will see at the high school level, consistently manipulating defenses with his change of speed, vision, and timing. Fowler is a blur in transition and in the half court, using sharp angles and quick crossovers to break down defenders, create paint touches, and generate open looks for teammates. Once defenses begin to collapse on his drives, Fowler makes them pay from deep. He is a dangerous shot creator who can knock down threes off the dribble, on the move, and from several feet behind the line. His ability to create space and get into rhythm makes him a constant offensive threat. Defensively, Fowler is relentless. Off the ball, he’s disruptive and instinctive, aggressively blitzing passing lanes and speeding opponents up into mistakes. He plays with toughness, physicality, and an elite motor, consistently beating players to loose balls and making life difficult for opposing guards. Playing with Upward Stars on the 3SSB circuit, Fowler has consistently been the engine behind his team’s success and one of the biggest standouts at events thanks to his true point guard play. After picking up offers this past weekend from Oral Roberts Golden Eagles and UNC Greensboro Spartans, Fowler will continue to attract attention from programs across the country this summer as one of the top guards in the class @1ColtFowler @bhsrunninrebels @UStarsse @AndrewBaxleySC @Uorangemen2

6'7" wing Sam Akot’s versatility and perimeter skill set were on full display at the Pro16 Puma Transfer Portal Event this past weekend. The London, Ontario native turned in two highly productive performances, finishing with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists in game one before following it up with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in game two, consistently impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Akot showcased his ability to get to his spots offensively and use his length to shoot comfortably over defenders. He was effective attacking the basket, playing around the rim, and creating paint touches through contact. From the perimeter, he proved to be a constant shooting threat both on and off the dribble, while also moving well without the ball to space the floor and create opportunities within the offense. What stood out was his patience and feel with the ball in his hands. Rather than forcing action, Akot consistently looked to make the right play for his team while maintaining an aggressive scoring mindset. Defensively, Akot was active and engaged throughout the event, using his length and athleticism to disrupt opponents, force turnovers, and create problems in passing lanes. His two-way upside and versatility were evident all weekend. His performance should not come as a surprise. Akot previously spent a year redshirting at Buffalo Bulls before continuing his development at Cloud County Community College, where his versatile game began to fully emerge. With his size, perimeter skill, and defensive upside, Akot continues to establish himself as a rising JUCO prospect drawing Division I attention @Sam_Akot @31kp @CloudCounty_MBB @TransferPortal @JucoRecruiting

Frederico Whitaker Jr. is a true lead guard with four years of college eligibility remaining. He spent this past season at East Tennessee State Buccaneers, redshirting his freshman year while developing in practice against a team that competed near the top of the SoCon and pushed toward NCAA Tournament contention. A native of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Whitaker Jr. played four years at Northwood High School before joining IMG Academy for a postgraduate season. At IMG, he averaged 16.3 points, 5.2 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game, showcasing his all-around impact. Whitaker Jr. is extremely comfortable with the ball in his hands, operating with poise, pace, and advanced vision. Despite being listed at 5'11", he uses his size to his advantage, breaking down defenders off the dribble, attacking their feet, and creating opportunities for both himself and his teammates. His ability to see the floor and deliver passes through tight windows makes him a true floor general. He’s at his best in ball-screen situations, where he can shake his defender and manipulate help coverage. Whether it’s finishing at the rim, finding the roll man, or pulling up for a reliable midrange jumper, Whitaker Jr. consistently makes the right read. He also possesses a dependable floater that allows him to score effectively over length. Defensively, Whitaker Jr. brings strong anticipation and instincts, reading plays before they develop and jumping passing lanes to create turnovers. His activity and feel allow him to disrupt opposing guards and speed up the game. After a full year of development within a high-level college program, Whitaker Jr. emerges as a true point guard prospect that college staffs should strongly consider recruiting @fredwhitakerJr @Uorangemen2 @NCAAPortal @IMGABasketball

Trey Knight is one of the top available JUCO guards in the country. The 5'11" lead guard from Hayward, California recently completed his second collegiate season at Wallace State Community College, where he averaged 13.3 points, 5.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 42 percent from the field and 38 percent from three. Knight lead his conference in assists and finished 24th in NJCAA Division I this past season, a testament to his consistent, crafty, and selfless approach to the game. He’s a dynamic playmaker who elevates those around him and competes on every possession. Despite his size, Knight embraces contact, using his strong frame and balance to bounce off defenders and finish effectively at the rim, often playing off two feet. He has a natural ability to get downhill, collapse the defense, and generate paint touches. His pace and timing stand out, especially in ball-screen situations where he creates advantages and keeps teammates involved. On the perimeter, Knight is a confident and efficient shooter both off the catch and off the dribble. His quick release allows him to get shots off before defenders can contest, and he complements that with a reliable floater to score over length in the lane. Defensively, Knight stays in a low, athletic stance and moves his feet well, applying pressure while using active hands to disrupt opposing guards. His motor and competitiveness consistently show on that end of the floor. Knight is the definition of a selfless floor general committed to winning in any way possible. Any program that lands him is not only getting a high-level guard, but also a high-character individual and leader. He is currently represented by @GoEmpireGroup @treyknight_ @Uorangemen2 @WallaceStHoops @fkeycoach @CoachDrewWilson @JucoRecruiting

6'2 combo guard Za’Quis Timberlake was getting it done this weekend with 434 Vahavoc at the Big Shots Richmond Rumble, showcasing his ability to impact the game at all three levels. He plays above the rim, creates his own shot with confidence, and competes with a relentless motor on both ends. Timberlake continues to trend upward at a high rate—it’s a no-brainer that he deserves more looks @DaReal6Z @CoachJavon @Sam_Dale23 @Uorangemen2 @_TomKeller @johnsonvj05
