@GooseOnBulls The team is rebuilding with some fairly talented players and have been competitive in many of their gms.
They will likely have 2 1st rd picks this yr in a very talented draft, along with their 1st from last yr that hasn't played.
Most rebuilds are much longer.

We’re all tired & lottery night is the only night that truly matters at this point. Maybe the Pelicans keep winning & the Bulls slide to 8th if they don’t get jumped by the Bucks. Blazers sending us 15th could change things drastically. Especially if they move top 4 & get 15.

Seems like this time every year for the past 4 years it’s “we’re not that far away! If we sign this guy, or trade for that guy, or draft this dude we’ll be good next year!” Inevitably those things don’t happen and we end up right back here I’m tired guys

@ShareBullsLove @GooseOnBulls Possibly. But Ayo is going to have a lot of competition with other sgs who have come from similar places with bad teams.
The issue Ayo will have is his impact with the Wolves, which is unfair to him since they have taken a step back wo Kat.
They likely lose in an early round.

@GooseOnBulls Only if they resign him or win something this year. Now, if the Bulls sign him back, it would be a slam dunk for Chicago. But my feeling is that Ayo will be worth more after this stint with MN than if he had stayed on the Bulls. I can see him getting $25-30 million a season.

Wolves won the trade, Rob has started to find some confidence with opportunities but is still raw and sloppy. Lenny is competitive and his competition on this roster is Patrick Williams. Happy for Ayo though he deserves to be competing like this on a real team.

If AK can transform the forward spots from Dalen, Pat, and Julian to Matas, Miller, Noa, and Caleb that's a pretty big upgrade.

If you give young players consistent minutes then you’ll get consistent play! Matas was in the same boat last year before they turned him loose and Miller and Dillingham are experiencing the same thing this year. You have to live with their mistakes and growing pains no matter how bad it looks at times because if you’re patient and let them find their way they could be special! This basically is Robs and Leonard’s rookie season so put that in perspective when you judge them. I’ve liked both from day one and with a good summer of work they could turn into really good players for the Bulls. So for the rest of the season hopefully they let them cook 👨🏾🍳🔥🔥🔥

And yeah, every roster has gaps.

Honestly, if the Bulls could acquire a dominant defensive force at Center, I feel like they'd immediately be SO much better.
There is so little defense on this squad. The offense doesn't concern me. It's the lack of any real threat defensively that concerns me.

People can slam the roster for imbalance, and that's fine.
But, most NBA rosters have the same isssues.

@BullsLead @PhilipCharlesIV @la_smooth Both. Vuc really took shots away from Matas and couldn’t anchor our defense. So even with Matas’ excellent shot blocking, our paint has been weak all season. Also, Billy’s system has always been difficult for Wings that were not already star players.

The Bulls actually fared well against the better teams this year.
The problem was that they couldn't take care of business against the shitty teams. And it's 100% due to having no defense.
Vs Indiana: 0-3
Vs Nets: 1-3
Vs Bucks: 1-3
Vs Pelicans: 1-2
Vs Kings: 1-1
Vs Jazz: 1-1
Vs Hornets: 1-3
Those are only 10th seed or worse in each conference. And thats a 15 game swing.
Winning those games would've given the Bulls a 43-27 record currently instead of 28-42. And guess where that places them?
Tied for 4th in the East with the Cavs.
I only said 6th because I was giving a bit of room for error.

Not sure there is another level he gets too as a player even though he has helped when he is healthy.

The Bulls should trade Tre Jones
if one of the PGs is available when they draft.
He can't shoot a three worth sh*t and we don't need 2 pgs (Dillingham) under 6'2" (not counting Yuki and Mac). He's also on a great deal. Jones is one of the few trade assets they still have.
