@ProfKime We really enjoyed your session. It gave us a really helpful structure for moving forward some conversations that we've been having throughout the year. Hope you've recovered from your late night out...

I had a super time at #rEDWarr - a supportive environment for thinking together. Loved it. Congratulations to the @researchEDWarr organisers, and thanks to teachers and leaders attending for giving your time and energy. Amazing.

We're also planning an inter-school competition in July so if you'd be interested in joining or having someone run a free intervention around number sense, partitioning, reasoning about number, problem solving etc etc etc then let me know.

.@Lightning_Maths has been running the Lampogo 3 intervention with our Year 3s this half term. We've just sat down and talked about all of the different things that children have to think about to play the game and came up with a very long list!

what has struck me most has been the commitment to finding a solution once they became aware of a problem that they had never even previously considered. An example of a situation where the solution isn't as big as the problem. (2/2)

This came up for us after a session on Mayer's multimedia principles earlier this year. Teachers found a range of solutions: printing teacher notes, saving the slides as a teacher copy then deleting anything unhelpful, realising that a lot of notes weren't needed anyway but (1/2)

Problem → Sometimes it can be helpful to put prompts/information on lesson slides to support our teaching, but this stuff doesn't always support pupil learning. Solution → TeacherGlasses™ 🤓 (semi-serious) thread:

@crossleyandrewj Interesting to think about whether you can ever fully "forget" something or whether it's not learning it in the first place that's more of the issue... Looking forward to it as well!

Really proud of our school today. It was great that our guests could see the impact of 5 years of Teaching for Mastery so that all children were able to access challenging Maths and that we don't put a limit on what children are capable of doing.
Dr Debbie Morgan CBE@ThinkingMaths

A huge privilege to visit @BWA_Sheffield and @Burrellelogram with C7 MS teachers. Great to see the impact of #Mastery where ALL children build secure learning and make great progress together. Such a powerful PD model to see live teaching, used across all @MathsHubs @ncetm

@crossleyandrewj Unputdownable. I wish I'd just read this rather than wasting 4 years on a Primary Education degree!

@MrsBaker6 @BWA_Sheffield This is totally not my kind of book (I like words...) but the way that our Year 6 teachers have planned and delivered this unit has made even me begin to love this book!
