Corridor care is now a year-round reality. Almost 3 in 5 physicians reported delivering care in a temporary space over the summer, according to our latest snapshot survey. We’re calling on the #NHS and government to: 🔵 protect patients and staff in temporary care environments 🔵 prevent corridor care with better patient flow and timely discharge 🔵 pledge long term investment in social care and public health 🔵 publish data all year round on temporary care environments. ✍️ We’ve submitted our response to the @NHSEngland medical training review. 🗳️ We surveyed over 1000 resident doctors for our next generation survey, with only 44% saying they were satisfied with their clinical training. Our message is clear: it’s time to reform postgraduate medical education.

Physicians across the UK shared their experiences of how corridor care has impacted patients: 🔵 90% reported compromised patient privacy and dignity 🔵 81% faced physical difficulties delivering care 🔵 75% said they struggled with access to vital equipment or facilities 🔵 58% said they’d seen patient safety directly compromised 🔵 61% reported increased personal stress due to working environments.

Cancelled @LNER train means there’s teachers trying to manage 30 plus primary school kids in train aisles as all seat reservations cancelled and 2 x passengers on one. School trip from Peterborough to London. @LNER you should be refunding them or at least trying to free up seats.
