Tough, tough day for the normally-great CBS broadcast. Worst Masters coverage in recent memory…soooo much Andrew Catalon, Nantz felt mia, IBF sorely missed, impactful shots of notable players nowhere to be found, total fail on the 72nd hole. Underwhelming, run-of-the mill feel

@bill_summitt @realmarktroyer @JoeNicely They have the most experienced, talented team in the truck- director Steve Milton, producer Sellers Shy among others. Makes me wonder if somebody was out sick, or they had technical issues behind the scenes we're not aware of?

@ronflatter @CBSSports @TheMasters Yes, they let go many of their veteran golf people behind the scenes a few years ago. Little by little, it catches up and is felt in the big moments like Sunday.

@DuBoseDefense @jseubanks @McIlroyRory I thought the same thing. And while Catalon is a solid PBP voice, he can't paint the picture like Ian Baker-Finch. I think this also threw Nantz off his rhythm.

@Bushlach @jseubanks @McIlroyRory Noticed this as well. We heard so much Catalon down the stretch I asked my wife whether Nantz was on the call.

Wonderful win by @McIlroyRory. But if you’ve never heard frustration in Jim Nantz’s voice, his reaction to that camerawork on 18 was it.

Still laughing about CBS having a billion cameras on the 18th hole at the Masters and somehow still missed having any idea where both guys approach shots on 18 went and had a camera shot where you couldn’t see the hole for Rory’s winning putt.

@chantel_mccabe D+ / No offense to Rors, but overall the worst Masters in modern memory. Blah back 9 Sunday, CBS botched broadcast, ESPN's Par 3 Kelce circus, and everybody's pissed about the influencers and stupid merch. We're all invested in this tradition: Protect the Masters at all costs!

That ballpark ruled & it is absolutely correct that too many teams are getting new stadiums/ballparks/arenas subsidized by taxpayer bucks well before they're needed. That said: summer temperatures in North Texas have reached a point where they really do need a roof in the summer

@Not2BeTrite Its OK to be a free agent fan, the players do it. I just re-upped with the Dodgers and am weighing offers from the Seahawks & Packers for NFL season.

DFW pro sports are so incredibly out of touch with their fan base it's comical.

@1053thefan @rjchoppy Our first visit, been to many classic and new parks, and was impressed by the amenities, concession options and wide concourses. Lots of cool memorabilia as well. Would've been 10/10 with the roof open, perfect day! Been to dozens of games in Seattle with more wind & cold!

The Dodgers mourn the loss of Davey Lopes, who passed away today at age 80. Lopes was a member of the team’s record-setting infield of the 1970s and 1980s and one of the finest basestealers in MLB history. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

Thoughts from Valero: -T2! I’m proud of the finish but even more so from the way I did it. I went through a super hot stretch but while finishing round 3, I felt my driver swing going in a bad direction. In yrs past, after the 9th hole in rd 4, I prob would have finished 10th at best. Ive learned what happens in my swing when I struggle like this and I was able to piece it back together and make a run towards the end. -18th hole was playing so tough. I hit a really good driver, 3wd then had to hit a PW from 100 yds. It wasn’t adrenaline that made me hit it over the back, the wind laid down a bit, or the wind was covered by the stands too much. Tommy also hit PW from very similar spot but came up well short. I needed to make birdie to PW was the only choice. It was actually a sick bunker shot for a tap in par. -The swing I made on 16 with a 5i, is something I’m going to remember for a long time. It was so flush, it looked perfect as soon as I looked up and was an absolute dart when I really needed it. -I’ve actually never liked TPC SA tbh. It’s a windy, desert golf where you can be re-teeing pretty quick. I decided to play because I wanted to play the week before the Masters and I sure am glad I did. Tiring week but obviously well worth it!
