Telling ya, this man is going to make Switzerland v Colombia one for the ages. Ivan Barton in charge, I would expect lots of fouls in the match. He officiated Turkey v Paraguay and gave a total of 29 fouls in that match. He also sent Miguel Almiron off for covering his mouth during a confrontation. He then took charge of Japan v Sweden and gave a total of 31 fouls in that fixture. The standout areas for me are in central midfield and then a battle in particular is Breel Embolo up against Lucumi and Sanchez.

Lots of folks asking about this, and I’m assuming this was ruled an error, which is what I would rule. Yes it’s 113 but it’s within his frame, there is no weird hop and he has time to react and missed it, going through his legs.

If this 100.6 MPH grounder hit directly towards Mayer was called a hit, then I don't see a single justification for Contreras' 112.8 MPH grounder to be scored an error

@ScoringChanges This was scored an error and reached on fielder’s choice. Any chance Contreras wins an appeal for a double? It was straight at the third baseman, but that EV is crazy. If it struck his glove and deflected, I think it would clearly be a hit.
