It means Nazi sympathisers and ethnicity-driven supremacists. And also, thanks to our irresponsible media and political rhetoric, anyone who believes in borders, biological sexes and colour-blind equality before the law. In this way, people who have nothing to do with Nazis are smeared as Nazis, ironically, to attempt to prevent them from becoming Nazis. In this way, a tiny number of actual Nazis (who hate the majority of the people who are today called "far right") are taken as evidence of the existence of a massive far right which has to be countered through censorship, visa bans and suppression. I covered the last Tommy rally and talked to hundreds of people. We encountered one person who was genuinely unpleasant (and not so much for his opinions but for being drunk and obnoxious). The rest were normal, ordinary people with opinions shared by the majority of the country. The reality is that the media who tell you the opinions the people they report on supposedly have don't actually talk to them. I saw one prominent mainstream journalist at the last protest who actually went into the crowd and chatted to people. The rest of them stand in front of a group of protestors and tell you the company line. This applies to every issue, btw. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

@KonstantinKisin @DrDominicGreen What does the “far right” even mean now? Wanting safety?

@Keir_Starmer Thats the problem, you clearly don't know the country. Seriously, even Mr Magoo can see what's going here. You're absolutely clueless.

Today the voices of division will be loud. They don't speak for the country I know, one that belongs to all of us. That's our Britain. A Britain worth fighting for. lbc.co.uk/article/keir-s…

I can't help thinking that if the British Government brought the energy it has to prevent the "far right" from entering the country to preventing illegal immigrants from entering the country there might not be a "far right" in the first place.

Millions & millions of people in this country have had ENOUGH of the changes foisted upon them by idiotic, self-interested & detached politicians. You are changing communities beyond recognition. You are making British people (particularly women & girls) more unsafe in their own homes. You are out-bidding British people from homes, using their own tax contributions to do so, in order to place economic migrants next door to them instead. You are taking the tax contributions from struggling British workers & giving it to freeloading, dishonest economic migrants who entered this county ILLEGALLY & providing them with better lives than many said working Brits have. You are turning many parts of the U.K. into places which resemble some kind-of 3rd world ghetto. You are IGNORING the repeat polite & democratic requests of British people to STOP this. What are these Brits meant to do? Lots of them (of all colours, shapes, sizes & walks of life), good, decent people, intend to go to this event tomorrow, because they DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO!! The arrest rate for the past event was minimal, especially compared to others. But no, despite this, politicians continue to smear. Where attendees of other events/protests with higher arrest rates are met with dancing police & selfies - tomorrow’s attendees will be met with riot force & facial scanning. People are NOT becoming divided or intolerant because they are ‘racist’, nor ‘far-right’, nor bad people and nor because they have heard a speech. They are becoming this way because of what YOU politicians are doing to them. Oh and btw, you guys are more bothered about criticising @TRobinsonNewEra etc then you are about resolving the issues I mention above. It is pathetic. You’ve worked out that if you keep pointing & shouting RACIST or CRIMINAL at those people, you can escape true scrutiny. You hope by repeating these labels & clamping down, you will deter people en masse from following them. The irony is, these folk are a direct consequence of failed government policies. I don’t think your smears work any more. Viewers of my show will know that I felt a little sorry for Starmer amidst all the backstabbing. Those feelings are gone. The sooner this man & his ilk are democratically ousted from public office, the better. If you are attending the event tomorrow - Be PEACEFUL & LAW ABIDING. DO NOT BE PROVOKED (many will try). Do not give these politicians etc what they want - the ability to try and silence you, in order to deflect from their own disgraceful failings. If you give them an excuse to silence you - no change will come…. And change, is what we urgently need….
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

Streeting has resigned. In his departure letter to the prime minister, he warns of a “dangerous English nationalism”, slags off Reform, attacks Starmer’s “island of strangers” remarks and calls Brexit a “disaster”. That should bring the Red Wall flocking back.

He promoted dangerous and unsubstantiated conspiracy theories in some of the most gross, tone deaf ways. He wasn't 'cancelled' for speaking out, his free speech came with a consequence - that people and brands rightly didn't went to be associated with him.

No one had heard of Farage before the BBC started putting him on #bbcqt multiple times. To this day we don’t know who enabled this. Last night is the result of over 16 years of propaganda on our national broadcaster. It’s a coup by modern media methods. #R4Today

One positive thing I would say about Reform's new policy. At least they're finally being honest about the fact they don't have a solution that involves actually turning back the boats at source.

@ewangibbs I believe the whole shtick of this performative advert, is that placing them in the 'Green' areas isn't a 'punishment' more it is what the Green voters want. Seems like maybe it isn't after all. The policy is daft, but in terms of exposing the hypocrisy of the left it's genius.
