England struggling to catch again. Purely a guess, but do players think they need to pass it a little bit harder when they play for England? Makes it harder to catch and results in more dropped passes? Forces play more.

@Oom_Rugby Oh yeah because Jason Leonard, Victor Ubogu, os du randt, craig dowd were all skinny small guys back in the day when scrums were valued. We aren’t wanting rugby league scrums just not have teams able to win penalties from what should be a game reset and decent attacking ball.

if you de-value scrums ,teams doesn't really need to stress about picking proper props anymore. so now not only is the slightly shorter & rounder guy at school not needed in his rugby team, but we lose mis-matches on the field just 15 flanks running at 15 flanks 🥱 no thanks!

Dont see much wrong with this comment. It’s what sets NZ Ireland and France apart. Thoughts? Rugby is entertainment and we need to keep that in the front of our minds when we’re trying to broaden the fan base and grow the game.

@exr2827 @RugbyInsideLine Yes, scrums should be for resetting the game. A dominant scrum = good front foot attacking ball or pushing teams backwards behind the gain line on defence. Penalties being awarded is just too big of a reward.

@RugbyInsideLine I'm sorry but world rugby need to seriously consider changing how scrums are polcied are at the very last stop it being a Focal point of the game. Rugby is an entertainment business in the professional Era.

Freddie Steward was monstrous tonight. Game plan was almost executed to perfection. The scrum ultimately cost England. Changes from the bench the turning point. An easy out for South Africa on their own 5m line was the beginning of the end…

@topofthemoonGW @thedeadballarea Need repower the scrum by getting rid of penalties against a weak scrum, you should never have a penalty against you if you are the attacking team. A scrum going backwards is enough of a reward for a dominant scrum.

There was just 1 completed scrum in the Premiership final between Saracens and Sale. Sequence of scrum outcomes was: Free kick Penalty Penalty Penalty ✅ Free kick Reset Penalty Penalty Free kick Penalty
