I'm not being cheeky with this question, I genuinely want to know: what is a "person of diversity" and how is it measured? Like, one of my parents is Irish and the other is a Caribbean migrant - would I qualify, since I'm only half "diverse"? Would someone with a foreign grandparent count? What about a white foreigner, like an Englishman? If religion counts, would running an Irish Presbyterian, or a Scientologist mean you receive funding? And if religion doesn't count, why doesn't it? Why do we care about electing certain nationalities but not underrepresented religious groups? Do gender non-binary candidates count, and if so, how do you prove that you are non-binary since it's not recognised under Irish law? What's stopping, say, @MlMcNamaraTD from putting down on a form that he's non-binary and getting easy funding for his campaign? I have so many questions about this and how it actually works practically.
